This used to be the only way to book train tickets but the app is useless nowadays. Unreliability issues have rendered it completely unusable, with several minutes of waiting times between screens and overpriced tickets and fees compared to other apps. It's taken me several months of pain to move but I've signed up to Trainpal and the minute all my purchases are used on Trainline I'll be deleting the app and never using it again. I was a loyal Trainline user but clearly profit comes before UX.

Recent UI changes have made this app a pain to navigate. Used to be simple, open the app and search for a train with the date. Now it shows all the updates for current trains. If I want to book for the future, which I think most people do, it adds an unnecessary layer. When I click the NOW icon on the favourites section it should have the option for the date, not just the time. So close to being convenient.

ok ish. the app could make it easier to understand, if indeed the rules allow making it easier to understand stand. eg. choose off peak open return and finding out off peak return times is dubious..... off peak seems a finger in the air, on the day decision..... maybe I'm wrong.... When travelling into London, train is a necessary evil for me and I find trying to balance acceptable levels of hassle and cost, using this app is a bit of a pain.
