Bought this thing 3 years ago. Connected it and within 3 days disconnected and replaced it bc it was nothing but trouble. NOTHING worked except the screen. Kind of. Even that didn't always do what it was supposed to. Well, after all this time, decided to try it again. Hasn't been 12 hours and I'm pulling this POS again bc yet again it's nothing but problems. Won't update, turns something 'On' but nothing helpful. It's 60° in my house yet the thermo is set at 70. I'll done trying with this thing.

This gizmo may have just extended the life of my heat pump by another winter. My old thermostat turned out to be of a retireable age. I preshopped at Walmart and Amazon looked at this and that, and from a simple review video about this Vine Thermostat, I picked it as my replacement. It has a touch screen, a wifi app for easy control. And it was to install even for a dummy like me. My big Wow! about this item is the advanced menu, you can control the cycles, hysteresis, and a bunch of other stuff

Thermostat is cool and would be amazing if it worked the right way. The app is the same way. Half the functions don't work right. Basically all I can do it see when my Thermostat is on or off and change the house temp. No other features work. Honeywell is looking better anytime now.
