2024-10-30 | Opal Beauty | Great app for reading the Word. Easy to maneuver and I read from it every night. HOWEVER the ads being played are not Christian and often show sinful things which could Christians to stumble. I have no idea if the makers of this app are believers but even if not they will be held accountable for the ads shown before a Holy God. If the ad content can be changed I'd do so immediately. I'm tired of looking at images that are not of God. Some are really offensive and promote serious sins.
2024-08-16 | Teresa Lucero | Bible in your purse or pocket. I use mine mainly at bedtime or in poor light conditions and travel. So much easier than struggling with a book. You can highlight words, verses, or passages. You can resize the print. The ads at the bottom can be a bit annoying, but expected these days for free apps. Overall very pleased with what this app offers.
2024-07-21 | Jeni Smart | Completely inappropriate ads. Google ads keep showing ads for tic toc which shows a bunch of naked women. I have never viewed this content and certainly don't want it on my phone while I'm trying to read the Bible. I reported it 3 times using the feedback button, but Google keeps bringing it up. Hopefully I can find a better Bible app.
2024-05-31 | Liz B. | Just downloaded the app this week. One simple yet irritating thing keeps this from being a 5-star review. I don't need reminders, but the app makes me cancel the reminders every single time I open it. Also, I don't need or appreciate a reminder that reminders won't work. Is there a way to permanently shut this off? If not, I'll simply delete the app.
2024-05-06 | Sola Soul | This Bible app is very useful for staying in touch with the Word of God but the overall functionality of the app needs to be looked at. Sometimes you want to read a Bible chapter and then you can even navigate to the next page without reading that same Bible verse. It makes Biblestudy nearly impossible with this app but it's a great effort from the designers.
2024-04-28 | Artemis Winchester | Great Bible app in NIV version! The highlights and bookmarks are great, so is the folders to sort your bookmarks Only complaint I have is that because I have battery saver on, I get a notification about reminders not working whenever I start it up. It takes multiple times of cancelling the notification before it finally leaves. I wish that it could be turned off permanently in the settings. Otherwise, it's a great app
2024-04-26 | Ron Purcell | This offline app is way faster than the one I had before that has to download from the Internet every time I touch it, especially if I have to duck over to another app for a second. However I REALLY wish it could save 2 or 3 most recent places when we are asked to jump to other verses and then come back to the previous one.
2024-04-07 | Rickey Miller | I was enjoying using this app and found it convenient for me to have a copy of the NIV Bible to read on my phone. However, for some reason, the words stopped being visible, and now I can't see the scriptures. I have un-installed and re-installed the app 2 times and restarted my phone, but the words under each chapter still aren't back
2024-03-05 | Harley Hintz | I really love using this app, I use it for highlighting my everyday devotionals, my Sunday notes and verses, also I like to read my Bible but at times like to follow along with this apps audio of reading the Bible. Which I have now after several years of using this app have an issue I came across. I tried to listen to a chapter and the audio acted as though it could not be used it will buffer but then not do anything at all I tried to force shut down and re-enter the app but still have an issue
2024-01-14 | A marie | Great app. Unlike The KJV, this NIV is asy to interpret and understand. It does have ads that show up at the bottom of the screen but they are not overbearing like most of the other bible apps are. Also, I'm not sure if it does or not, because I just downloaded the app yesterday, but it would be extremely helpful if the app sent a simple, daily notification or reminder to read. Other than the two minor things that I've mentioned here, this is an overall great app. I do recommend. |
