2024-09-05 | Giovanni Maniscalco | ZERO stars... Probably the worst authenticator app ever. It just doesn't work. Simple as that. You're left hanging with your credit card on hand, not knowing what to do. Even if you try to open the NBG mobile banking app to get the approval notification, chances are it won't be there either.... The worst !
2024-02-14 | George China | What an abomination of an app. For the most part it crashes and runs slow. It delays approval requests, causing transactions to be marked as incomplete or expired on the purchasing platforms. For users overseas, the time and date on the device needs to manually be updated to the Greek time zone, so it can sync and complete each approval request. What's even the point with that function? This app is ridiculous. I just use other Banks for my online transactions just to avoid using this app.
2022-04-16 | Jonathan Dran | Bah.. it crashed, it asked my finger verification multiple times, it doesn't accept my card, my notifications come through Viber or nbg app as well. No reason for this app to exist. I guess some people needed money and they invented a new idea to take money from NBG. Great 👍👍👍
2021-12-28 | Adimchi Onyenadum | This is the worst congregation of reviews I have ever read about any app in all my 30 years of internet life. Amazing how irresponsible the biggest Greek National Bank can be. I was comfortably doing my transactions with old OTC method until they introduced this shambles. It took me months to figure out what I should do. I finally downloaded the authenticator. After some initial hicks, it now seems to be working fine. I use only credit cards for shopping. Other methods may still have issues.
2021-11-03 | Pyro | Awful, the app crashes a lot. You need a newer phone to even run the app plus the fact that your phone needs to have face ID or a fingerprint sensor. They should just delete the app and go back to the old way of online purchasing where you just had to put the credit card details and it's done, now you have to open the app do the fingerprint thing and then hope it doesn't crash. The process is time consuming and annoying, please do something to make the app better or completely get rid of it.
2021-09-28 | Dorothea Favva | Too much time consuming just to do an online payment. I don't understand why the device's pin should be used(how secure is it?). There should be an option to select the way of payment (via OTP or this app). Also, adding another app when already having nbg i-bank and i-bank pay is not what i want. Maybe it should be added as an extra functionality in one of the other two apps as well.
2021-08-13 | Michael Clayton | Ooops! Something went wrong! Just doesn't even load (OnePlus 5, Android 10). In general the NBG apps and website are really impressive. Please get this one up to the same standard! Also really pleased you are moving away from text based authentication. Wouldn't mind seeing something hardware based in future (Yubikey maybe?). Update 13-08-2021: Can use the normal mobile banking app for authentication, but this still refuses to let me in. I thought this was meant to be a simple alternative?
2021-07-11 | Christos Kapodistrias | Absolutely useless! It literally takes me 10 seconds to complete an online transaction with any other bank. You press Purchase you enter the code send by message on your phone, you are done. Here you are asking someone to have a shiny new smart phone with Fingerprint or Face ID, pray that the app will actually work on that phone (trust me it rarely works even if your phone supports those features) or you have to log in to your actual NBG online registered account accept the purchase, receive a code via SMS to approve the purchase, return to the retailer's website and if you were fast enough, hopefully your purchase will go through. Freaking genius. Soooo worth using your bank for online purchases.
2021-05-14 | George K. | Useless! It rarely reads fingerprints correctly and has issue to connect to the merchant to either receive a payment request, or if it ever reads the fingerprint, to send the payment confirmation. I will use a different bank from now on
2021-05-10 | Stielhandgranate | Terrible idea. I don't want to use the fingerprint authentication so I have to manually sign up to my ebanking page to approve of transactions. I've been using the ebanking feature for 5 years no problem and now a simple, ill-thought update will drive me away. Oh, well. |
