2024-10-06 | John Hines | Neat. They dropped a whole ferry route out of the app, because it got off schedule. The ferry system is run by a series of incompetent people, and this app is a pure reflection of the sad state of affairs. 10/5/2024: Tonight, they've just taken all ferry routes out of the app because they absolutely cannot do their jobs. You should all quit in shame, but you won't because you don't have any.
2024-01-01 | Shawn Emond | For some reason this app is not updating whatsoever. I've uninstalled/ re-installed it twice and is still unresponsive. You continuously refresh and it gives you "Error Loading" You would think they would put more attention to detail since people rely on this app for travel over the passes.
2023-11-02 | Mike Kelly | Like probably 80% plus of users, there is one ferry line I use all the time. The app has a way to mark a line as Favorite but this seems to have zero impact on the UI. I still start with a list of all lines, most of which I don't care about, before scrolling down to and clicking the line I do. Every. Time. Tickets are either pdfs or mobile - - why? Why can't I have every ticket I buy in the app AND as a printable PDF? Means I have to save the Pdf on Dropbox or something to get on my phone.
2023-05-04 | Samuel Hurlbut | I would like to see the highway number in notifications. I just read a construction notice for work neat milepost 43 near the intersection with US 395 in Richland. US 395 does not go through 395 and the construction is on highway 240. Obviously, I can click the notice to open the app and see where it is. But why? Otherwise, a great travel app. Sam H.
2022-12-22 | Nick Cardillo | Very good app to view traffic and cameras. Also use it for ferry schedules. Deduct 1 star because I wish you could pinch to zoom in on the camera images. The pics, especially at night, can be difficult to see. Also the refresh button sometimes doesn't take affect unless i choose a different camera or if I move the map around.
2022-08-19 | Tom P | I understand delayed ferries due to labor shortage or mechanical problems. We were told to download this app which will include the delayed departure/arrival times. HOWEVER, no such information exists on the web or anywhere in this app. Nothing is updated! Ever! You have no choice but to show up at the ferry and walk up to the ticket booth where they MIGHT have scribbled new departure times on a whiteboard. This is unacceptable. In the year 2022, have someone please update the app!
2021-11-23 | Kim Williams | This app is amazingly accurate, easy to use and the notifications are sent much faster than WSDOT texts. It is easy to read and check the site/s of cameras you'd like to see. The camera signals are clear and updated within minutes of seeing them. While traveling it has a safety feature asking if you're the passenger, because we all know, it's not safe to look at our phones while driving. I recommend this app to everyone; especially those I know cross the Hood Canal Bridge as often as I do.
2021-11-08 | Erik Smith | Down to 1 start for not putting road work information in the map. Applying the most recent update deleted all of my favorite maps! Contrary to what the developer thinks, I did NOT want that to happen! For some reason WSDOT does not post road work information if the road work is at night, on the maps. Lane closures? Not posted. Ramp closures? Not posted. Still wastes screen space for ads that don't load. Existing accidents don't show, but old accidents randomly pop back onto the map.
2021-02-21 | Boudewijn Rombouts | Does not handle exceptions well. This week the Bremerton ferry service went down to one ship, and lots of announcements were made that the schedule would be impacted. Except... The schedule in the app was never updated. Nor does the app allow you to see which boat is scheduled for which time slot. The phone information system also did not reflect the change. As a result, we ended up showing up at the wrong time and had to wait 2 hours for our next crossing. Very frustrating.
2020-09-26 | Dimitri Veleris | The WSDOT system is absolutely broken and needs a massive overhaul. This app does not update on time and will give users a false sense of confidence as to how many drive up spots are available on any given ferry. In order to catch a ferry, youll need to arrive 30 mins early (minimum). I suggest arriving closer to 40 mins early to play it safe. After a 30 minute ride, your overall travel time is 1:10 mins. Broken, broken system that needs new tech to support real time traffic updates. |
