2024-11-29 | Minz Tot | My recordings cant open.. it stated as corrupted.. recently was ok.. at times able to capture my recordings and at times it just stated corrupted file..
2024-11-13 | Rui | I for some reason can't get it to work??? I connect to the camera just fine , but the app takes me to WiFi settings and tells me to try again
2024-08-02 | Some Random Guy | It doesn't seem to work properly. I tried to connect on 2 different phones to my camera and both times it said "connected, no internet". Somehow, it worked fine when the guy at the store was showing it to me
2024-05-01 | Joshua Walker | This app is shady because it fails to properly align its self with the camera brand Smartgear which it was their instructions that led me to this app. And unless you have data you have to gobwith out wifi as you have to connect to the camera as some format local wifi connection to interact with the crummy quality wireless control features. What's more is that once you do connect you can bo longer see the camera feed in the back of the cam, rather only in the app.
2023-12-29 | Sean Roppel | App crashes before it can even connect. Powered up the camera, joined the wifi, open the app, tap connect, crash. Checked permissions, cleared cache, nada. But I see the last update was in 2022, so gonna try a couple older phones. Not ideal, but I got the thing for $12, so I'm not expecting miracles here...
2023-09-18 | Ashton Davies | I can't find any sites online to update the firmware on my Explore One HD camera with Wi-Fi. The settings page has a "FWUPGRADE" button taking me to a file manager. Custom firmware would be even nicer to have a different experience from developers who care and to get away from the currently buggy system. Good chance there isn't anything to upgrade to and that's just a feature to test on your own if you know what you're doing with the camera. 🤷☹️
2023-08-11 | Ethan Fox | It works. Just takes a bit to set up the network. Tips for connecting: Turn on Airplane mode, turn off mobile data, enter network manually, and toggle privacy to 'Use Device MAC'. Regardless, it could definitely use an update.
2023-06-17 | Hilario Barrios | I was worried with the bad reviews at first but luckily it was just people who do not read that works perfect you have to connect your camera with it's own Wi-Fi to your phone. Not your Wi-Fi to the camera so don't even try to connect it to your house wifi. Just connected to the cameras own personal Wi-Fi. That's it it's simple
2023-03-06 | Miles Nadin | On Android here, piece of cake, screens open automatically in order, enter password, before you know it you're looking at camera view on your phone screen. iPhone's an absolute nightmare by comparison. However! Even though my network settings to use mobile data if internet unavailable on WiFi - for some reason this app seems to block any/all internet access, which is a bit more than just inconvenient. It was an incredibly cheap video cam, have to put up with inferior apps I suppose.
2022-10-17 | Adam Raybourn | Cannot get this app to actually work. I am able to load the app, connect to the right WiFi network for my camera ("Freedconn"), and get a visual on the screen...so, at least I know that the camera itself does work. However, I have still yet to figure out a way to actually TAKE a picture or RECORD anything!!! 😠 Isn't that the whole point of the app?!? Also, ALL of the menu settings for the app are in Chinese. I even had my friend (who is fluent in Mandarin) take a look, and nothing works... |
