App summary

Transform your Android device into the ultimate precision tool with Bubble Level - the go-to app for carpenters, stonemasons, and bricklayers alike. With its handy, accurate, and incredibly useful design, this app makes it easy to check if any surface is horizontal or vertical.

With three indicators, you can use any side of your phone to check surface level or plumb. Plus, the app doubles as a clinometer, giving you the inclination of any surface in degrees, percent, or inches per foot. And with sound effects that let you measure without looking at your phone, you can stay focused on the task at hand.

One of the standout features of Bubble Level is its calibration options. With relative and absolute calibration, as well as cumulative calibration, you can fine-tune your measurements for even greater accuracy. And with the ability to calibrate any side of your device independently, you'll always get the most precise readings possible.

Whether you're aligning pictures, boards, or wall mounts, calculating the inclination of pipes, or even parking your camper van, Bubble Level has got you covered. So why wait? Download the app today and start enjoying a new level of precision in all your projects!

Why do these bubble level apps require a perfectly level surface to calibrate? I should be able to 1)calibrate 2)turn phone 180 degrees 3) calibrate. 4) the bubble level app uses those two readings to determine the angle of the surface and calibrate the phone. There was an app called 'Clinometer' that did that beautifully. Sadly it no longer works on my phone. I am going to post this review on the other bubble level apps that I have tried hoping to motivate the devs to 'fix' their app.

Was good until this last update which is no longer ad free. After the update it gives you the option to regulate the push ads but then hits you with a closed door. Either take some ads or buy the full version or it won't open at all. There are other apps like this so this one gets deleted. Face it, the accuracy of an app like this is completely dependent on your phones sensor hardware and no app is going to change the precision of the sensor chip.

In 2020 I gave this app five stars. It was absolutely free and worked like a champ. It's been updated automatically to version 2.1.2 and the devs have messed it up. Now it has ads. However you can pay to have them removed. It used to be easy to use, emulating a typical bubble level (in fact that's the name of the app) but not anymore, there's nary a bubble to be seen. Note to developers: there's an old saying that applies. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
