App summary

Optimize your WiFi network using WiFi Analyzer (open-source) by examining surrounding WiFi networks, measuring their signal strength as well as identifying crowded channels.

Users' privacy and security is a huge concern these days and WiFi Analyzer (open-source) is designed to use as few permissions as possible. It asks for just enough to perform the analysis. Plus, it is all open source so nothing is hidden! Most notably, this application does not require access to internet, so you can be sure it does not send any personal/device information to any other source and it does not receive any information from other sources.

WiFi Analyzer is under active development by volunteers.
WiFi Analyzer is free, has no-ads and does not collect any personal information.
WiFi Analyzer is not a WiFi password cracking or phishing tool.

A very good application for determining a lot about your WiFi connection. It would be a very useful tool to some setting up (or already has) there WiFi AP's and changing which channels they are broadcasting on. A very respectable application. People do not realize what dangers there are with embedded ads. It is good to see that not every developer is trying to get into your wallet.

Awsome. But I have a feature request. There needs to be a sound that can be turned on the sound would be a toan around 30Hz if the signal strength is -85 db, but if the signal strength is up around -10 db, then the toan would have a frequency of around 5KHz. So now you can use your phone as a WiFi adjustment tool. Place the phone in the room you want to check the WiFi strength, turn on the toan, and hear the signal strength from the other room where you router is, and adjust the antennas.

Helpful for optimizing Wi-Fi access point location at home. The app is easy to use, clear interface, and unobtrusive (no ads). Thank you developers for making this available! I wish I could use this app to measure bandwidth to different endpoints in different bands, not just signal strength.
