| 2024-11-11 |  | | Sync is a button, little else. See status? A ProgressBar in a notification that freezes. Then, the cover download, which throws toasts if there are errors; only mean to see if it still works. If, meanwhile, you want to download a book... ouch. See, syncing is its main function: it works, but it should have a good status screen to see what and where it does, and with some control. The app is not bad, having Calibre libraries in the cloud is a good idea, but the author should improve the sync. |
| 2024-10-21 |  | | Copied my Calibre database from OneDrive to pCloud. Syncing working faster now. However, with the latest Calibre Sync update (6.6.0+267) the library is no longer syncing. New books added are not showing, but I am still able to retrieve the books that are showing. Sync info showing last sync Oct 19 (two days ago). |

The developer is actively working to make this app better with each release and incorporatesany of the suggestions and requests into new versions. I emailed requesting some support and they replied within two days. Awesome! I have 1400+ books in my library and use the Calibre server option. Quick to search and find books that I want to put on my device. For those wanting sync-read-position -> moon+ reader is it. |
| 2024-08-11 |  | | Seems to work OK for syncing and downloading. However, lack of grouping and sorting options in the UI make this app pretty much useless if you have more than a few dozen books in your library. |

| 2024-07-04 |  | | I'd stuck with the increasingly failing Calibre Companion simply because I had used it for years. After latest install on android 14 it was unusable so I finally looked for a replacement. Why didn't I switch to Calibre Sync sooner! Hugely less labyrinthine to set up and use, and much, much quicker. This does all I need - fast searching, quick syncing or downloading - just fabulous. Minor issues with custom columns are easily overcome by adding tags to Calibre metadata. Many thanks to the Dev(s)! |
| 2024-02-26 |  | | This app is very slow when downloading books from Calibre server and even slower downloading from One Drive. It took 8 hours to download 600 books from Calibre Content server and 12 hours to download 600 from One Drive. When doing a search I often get wrong results. Well since Calibre Compainon will no longer be updated and you can no longer open a book from the app that only leaves Calibre Sync to work with Calibre. Hope they get the bugs worked out of the app. I bought the full version. |
| 2024-01-14 |  | | I'd been a long-time Calibre Companion user; it took me some time to get used to Calibre Sync's interface. It's grown on me. I used CC's wireless device connection exclusively; CS's is not quite as good, but makes up for it in its content server interface. I'm now fully switched to that. I appreciate that the developer responds to customers and continues to improve this app. |
| 2023-12-17 |  | | I really wanted to like this app. Unfortunately, it didn't work for me. I made a wireless connection from an Android tablet to a Windows laptop running Calibre. The library has about 9000 books. It failed after transferring a few hundred but Calibre indicated that many more were. This was confusing. The transfer speed per book was also slow. I uninstalled and reverted to Calibre Companion. Calibre Sync isn't ready for prime time yet. |
