• Use Register or wirelessly connect Terminal to any device running your Square POS. With a separate checkout screen, customers can see their itemized cart and pay quickly, all from a safe distance.

• Refund specific items from a transaction. The amount being refunded will reflect any applicable taxes and discounts for the selected item(s).

I've used my little magstripe reader for over a year now with no problems, now it won't accept any cards. Tells me "tap to pay or chip must be used." After searching, I found instructions to change something in settings to allow chip cards to be swiped, but that setting is not there. Looks like Square is trying to force me to buy a more expensive piece of equipment.

Constantly need to login multiple times and go through a 2-step verification. It wouldn't be a big issue if the fact you could change whose phone number is connected to the app, which it is not. Also, the app doesn't like to open, so I'm stuçk constantly having to uninstall, reinstall, then go through a third party to login.

Edit: update after Sept 23 fixed the timeout issue. Myself and a lot of other vendors I know are having trouble with the reader timing out and requires Bluetooth be forgotten before it will reconnect. Won't always re pair on the first try. Since last firmware update. Support no help. I shouldn't have to reset it every hour. Halp!
