2024-11-04 | Mihai Osian | It has over-engineered "smart" features, yet it lacks basic things such as scheduling. The max charging speed for my EV is expressed in amperes, not in kW. Every single day it gives me the same useful tip (notification): "Want to optimise your charging session ? Use as much solar or off-peak energy". Jeez, why didn't I think of that ? How do I use off-peak energy when I can't set a schedule ?... Also, do you really have to spam me with such dumb messages every time I charge my car ?
2024-08-10 | Lieven De Troch | Not only the apps fault but controls don't work well and take long to update Cars suddenly stops charging and cant restart lacks basic features like, charge from this hour to this hour. It tries so hard to be smart that it ends up being a bit dumb
2024-08-05 | Brent Collett | I've been asking Smappee to add dynamic market rates for Victoria Australia, like is available for the EU. Still waiting. That would be a great improvement. Alternatively, being able to set the charger to turn on and off at a given time would be a suitable intermediate change. Currently, I have to manually turn the charger on in the Smappee app, and then set a timer on my clock to remember to switch off the charger. It's poor functionality. I suspect better options are on the market.
2024-04-02 | Tijl Vanpraet | Apparently Smappee hasn't considered the possibility that a home that has one of their chargers may change owners. The app is completely unusable for me as "this serial number is already in use" and their support pages offer no guidance whatsoever.
2024-01-25 | Fabio Pergola | Hi, I have the gas/water monitor, when you want to configure the optical sensors, the last step where you need to test the pulses with red line, at that point, the app crashes after a few sec on that screen, tested with OnePlus and Pixel device, both same issue... Ticket 81390 voor screenshots
2023-12-19 | Kris Cremers | Dashboard works again on Pixel 8. However, I noticed that smart grid enabled appliances no longer get started. Is it possible that a recent change broke this functionality? I can start the appliances through their respective apps, but that requires manual intervention, plus I'd have to check the energy prices myself every time.
2023-05-21 | Brain Less | Overflow of useless data, you can't set a limit on the amount of kW the charging station can use. This would be more usefull than the current smart shedule settings... Some settings are hard to find or difficult to understand... Also if you want to charge with only the surplus from solar panels, it will straight up ignore this setting during the night, so be prepared for unwanted costs due too this app. Terrible app!!!
2022-08-23 | Olivier Caudron | The app is well designed and works well. However it is extremely eager to get access to my mobile device, asking all sorts of permissions including to install apps in the background, and providing services I don't need. In fact it's not giving any choice. You have to accept their dictates or you can't use the app. I need it because it is required by the installer of my charging station, otherwise I would have uninstalled the app immediately. Unacceptable.
2022-06-04 | James Harris | Working well so far. Found the cloths drier using power on standby. Other things on standby we do not use now off. Does not find two AC units.Have used for more than 30 days. Not giving any $ amount feedback. Thought it would improve with use. Very basic. Not work now. Not worth buying.
2022-02-03 | Christopher Walkden | My Smappee hardware has been working fine since 2017. Initially it was exciting to find new appliances. With this new app though, no appliances are found and the visualisations are gone. I have switches and they are good, but very limited data is available from them. For instance I can't see the power usage over a specific time period. For my system, I'd probably get the same or better info from a much cheaper device. |
