It has over-engineered "smart" features, yet it lacks basic things such as scheduling. The max charging speed for my EV is expressed in amperes, not in kW. Every single day it gives me the same useful tip (notification): "Want to optimise your charging session ? Use as much solar or off-peak energy". Jeez, why didn't I think of that ? How do I use off-peak energy when I can't set a schedule ?... Also, do you really have to spam me with such dumb messages every time I charge my car ?

Not only the apps fault but controls don't work well and take long to update Cars suddenly stops charging and cant restart lacks basic features like, charge from this hour to this hour. It tries so hard to be smart that it ends up being a bit dumb

I've been asking Smappee to add dynamic market rates for Victoria Australia, like is available for the EU. Still waiting. That would be a great improvement. Alternatively, being able to set the charger to turn on and off at a given time would be a suitable intermediate change. Currently, I have to manually turn the charger on in the Smappee app, and then set a timer on my clock to remember to switch off the charger. It's poor functionality. I suspect better options are on the market.
