Sezzle: The Responsible Way to Pay

¹Pay in 4 and Pay in 2 loans are originated by WebBank except loans in IA and Puerto Rico. For example, for a $300 loan, you would make one $75 down payment today, then three $75 payments every two weeks for a 35.40% annual percentage rate (APR) and a total of payments of $305.99 which includes a $5.99 Service Fee (finance charge) charged at loan origination. Service fees vary and can range from $0 to $5.99 depending on the purchase price and Sezzle product. Actual fees are reflected in checkout.

Not great. This app used to be useful in splitting up payments for big purchases, but now you need a premium membership that cost a monthly fee if you want to shop at the popular stores without a fee. On top of that you pay a convenience fee, then a fee for paying it off early, and a fee for using debit cards. There is literally a fee for everything. You're better off using Afterpay, Zip, Affirm or even Klarna.

Update: Limit went back to what it use to which is good but leaving at 2 stars because of all the fees. Theirs a fee for using a debit card, theirs a fee for the everywhere pay, theirs a fee so reschedule. All these fees are so unnecessary. Guess they gotta make money off this somehow. Update: dropping to 1 star cause there is a ridiculous $20 fee if late. None of the other buy now pay later apps are this bad. This is insane.

Twice I did not push the payment button when trying to change the payment account to another account. It did not let me change the payment account and instead charged me without pushing the agreement button at all! And took the money out of an overdrawn account without my permission. I tried to go to customer service who just said they cannot reverse payments even though it was their fault the payment went through without my permission. Horrible app and awful company. I don't recommend them!!
