Such a good product until they abruptly changed the business model. I and many others have been loyal customers for years because it was Netflix for books. IE monthly cost, unlimited access to the current book catalog. Now they changed to an Audible premium model and it seems like 80% of books now cost extra per book. Add to it that you can't just search for the general (non-premium) catalog is so annoying. Sadly I'm ready to cancel after so many great years. So disappointed.

I was excited to try this as an alternative to other services. Unfortunately, every book, author, or series I'm interested in is either unavailable or requires an 'unlock.' The most frustrating part is there is NO way to only search for Unlimited titles when browsing, forcing you to look at listings you can't access once your unlocks are used up. Also, the app refreshes every 10 seconds when scrolling through search results. It's maddening.

I have used everand/scribd for years. I I have always recommended it to others and given it 5 stars. however, with this new change I have to give it the lowest stars possible. The reason I loved everand over audible before is that I don't repeat audiobooks, so I do not need to own the audiobooks. I enjoy listening to many books each month. Everand is too expensive for access to only one book a month. The unlimited titles are very few, hard to find, and not anything I care to listen to.

Everand is $11.99 mo. For the first 3-7 days, you can get almost everything you want. After that many books are not "available" until after your next payment. Paid on 18th. The books I wanted stopped being available on 22nd STUPIDEST IDEA EVER: "Jump Back In" feature which saves every book you listened to for 5 minutes. You can't turn it off, can't remove it or the books on it. Instead of seeing what you saved first, you see what you hated. Upside: Good when Libby and Hoopla leave you hanging

I used to love this app! There seems to be a lot of complaints about changes to the subscription which does sadden me, but my concern is actually more quality of audiobooks. For whatever reason when I listen to audiobooks in the app it always cracks/pops and closes out completely. I don't have this issue with any other app that allows me to listen to audiobooks. I don't mind if the subscription goes up in price, but if you can't deliver the same quality as before then what is the point?

This was a fantastic app. I really enjoyed it. Past tense. Unfortunately, they just made it into audible. You get 1 token for 1 book per month at $12. Three weeks ago, you got whatever you could listen to in a month for that fee. I listen to lots of stuff, so this value proposition just took a huge dump. I recommend just doing Audible (better selection for sane price) or podcasts instead. Enshittification has taken another service I liked.

I have been using the service for a while which has been great until the new subscriptions came through . I upgraded expecting to get access to more Audio books . It seems like the collection did grow but the amount of books that don't require to be unlocked seems to be very limited now and we only get 3 unlocks a month. I had been listening to at least 2 books per week before this time so I can't say I'm satisfied with the changes. The increase in price should mean less frustration not more.

I opted for Everand instead of Audible because of the unlimited access to the catalog of audiobooks. Did they have every book? No. Could I always find something to read? Yes. As an avid reader, I loved that I wasn't limited to 1 book per month, like Audible. The new update has changed this- you now have the option for 1 or 3 books per month depending on your pricepoint. The books included in the "unlimited" section are garbage. You are better off using Libby. I sadly canceled my subscription.

Difficult to use in these ways: pause subscription, renew subscription, give new payment information when I need to. The roundabout way to look at the history of my audiobooks is frustrating. I don't like the way that they pigeon hold me into genres. I've also noticed that when I don't access my account for large periods of times and then I enter the account I'm told that I cannot look at or listen to certain books until later on that month which seems odd because I hadn't used the account.

Loved it until the new subscription model. Before, you could access an unlimited number of books/month. Now it is basically Audible... except that you don't actually own the books. The vast majority of the books have to be "unlocked," and you only get 1 or 3 (depending on the subscription level) per month. You keep access to a book after it's "unlocked," but only for as long as you subscribe. It's not that much more to just get 1 or 3 books/month on Libro.fm, and then you actually own them.
