Liked this app better when it was a straight forward remote navigation tool. Now, I have pop-ups for things I will never use (My Roku) with bothersome items embedded there that I never like to see when streaming (adds). Appears to be no way to dumb this down and return to the halcyon days of yesteryear. Oh well, maybe it's time to try one of the non official Roku remotes...

Amazing how the apps one and only function continues to fail. Literally will spend 3 minutes trying to pair the app with my Roku. Even then the remote function is incredibly lagged. Worst of all the new update has made it where the remote won't work until the recently opened apps menu loads in. Confidently that just so happens to be where the ads are located.

Edit 11/26/24: The MyRoku app tab is so invasive now that it pops up with the drawer over the controller interface every time I open the app just to use the arrow keys. I tried typing something in with the phone keyboard to search a show on my TV, and now my keyboard pops up with that typed out search every single time I open the app as well and it won't clear out or stop doing it any time I open the app even after restarting my phone multiple times and even deleting and redownloading the app.
