| 2024-11-27 |  | | Usually my experiences have been good till today. I make a transfer and it only says there is a problem with my transfer (never confirmed it was on it's way) I tried twice with the same result so I had to find another way to send the money. Like 6 hours later I received an email that my transfer was successful, like what? Basically I made the same transfer twice, good thing it was to my own mexican account, just imagine if it was to soneone else, I'd never get that money back. No using it again. |
| 2024-11-20 |  | | The good news is they seem to be reliable, not the cheapest, but they seem real and it works. The bad news is they don't seem set up for your ID having an address different than the billing address on your debit card. That triggered a security concern that was unresolvable because what they wanted was then for me to send in copies of my banking statements which is NOT going to happen. I trust them to a point but I do not trust them with that level of information, it's unnecessary. So I deleted. |
| 2024-09-10 |  | | Not as bad as World Remit's app, but almost as bad... When a transaction doesn't work, it says to go into the app to fix it. But when I go into the app and look at the transaction, there is no option to fix it... Customer service then was bad, but that is for a different review... In either case, I'm switching to Wise. |
| 2024-07-10 |  | | I first gave remitly 5 stars because my first few transfers went through within minutes, no problem. But now I've had a transfer stuck somewhere for two days, and remitly support is no help. They just keep saying they sent the money on and it's stuck at their partner sender and to just wait. I don't care whose fault it is, remitly needs to refund my money and deal with the problem themselves! Would not recommend this money transfer app |
| 2023-11-14 |  | | I am a long time user of Remitly. I am very happy with this service, but the newest version of the App is annoying. When you are done using the App, you can't shut it off easily. I swipe up, which brings up options on every other App on my phone, except Remitly. I have to swipe down, and bring up my phone's settings options, then go to my home screen from there. This needs to be corrected, like yesterday. Hijacking People's web browser is not a path to satisfied users. |
| 2023-09-10 |  | | It was my first time sending money on them. So at first before sending the money, the exchange rate was 57.10. After clicking the button, then the transaction was made it was 55.24. Why there's a sudden change of the exchange rate. Then, I contacted customer service to ask about it. And then they told me that they don't have any controls of the exchange rate. Then I said, just a 1 sec, it changed. Then why it doesn't it change before clicking it. A delayed tactics. A dirty tactic!!! |
| 2023-05-24 |  | | I really enjoyed using Remitly due to its easy and user-friendly interface. It has proven to be a reliable platform. However, I have noticed that the widget feature, which was extremely helpful for quickly checking the destination price, has been removed in the recent update. I genuinely miss this feature and wonder if there is any possibility of bringing it back. |
| 2023-05-11 |  | | Was the best app for sending money internationally. Simple. Quick. Intuitive. Reliable. I recommended it to all my friends and family. Now I will not. They recently froze my account with no warning. I asked them to review and they replied they have reviewed and can not reactivate my account. I asked for a reason why and all they said was I violated their user agreement. No further details how. Unprofessional. I'll find better and Remitly can cash me outside how bow dat. |
| 2023-05-09 |  | | The app is fairly easy to use and gives a good exchange rate, but a few things don't add up, though: The fee for sending money with economy or express is the same ($4.99. Which is kind of high, considering other apps). It should be cheaper if is going to take 6 whole days to get to the other bank. Also, they say express takes 4 hours, when in reality it takes more, almost a full day. This is very inconvenient, in case you have to send money for an emergency to a family or friend in need. |
| 2022-09-17 |  | | Installed it and the app offered a promotional exchange rate. I got all the way to the last page. When I hit the Send button, they suddenly told me that rate wasn't available to me anymore. They told me it was only available to first time users...but I WAS a first time user?? I had to contact support for them to tell me that it was removed because of some household policy regarding 3 accts attached to one address. This is extremely aggravating design. The UI needs to be better |
