2023-06-18 | Bob Bob | If you're a rookie/inexperienced strategy gamer, this is probably a solid pick for you. HOWEVER, if you have a substantial amount of experience with GMT Games, especially Twilight Struggle, then this one feels almost unfinished. The ideas are there, it's nicely thematic to the history behind the concept, but strategically is quite light. The four 'dimensions' you compete over have very little mechanically different between them, and turns are too short to have much chance for cleverness.
2023-01-05 | Jordan “Abdullah” Seifert | With almost no interest in the period and relatively little knowledge of the events, this game has spurred me on not just to play it continuously, but to find the historical material just a little bit cooler. This is a game that's simple to learn, but rich in interesting choices. It's easy to get heavily invested despite its short length. It should also definitely appeal to anybody who likes solo board gaming, and it seems especially dope for people who like to play with history.
2022-12-28 | Shane Hurley | Have yet to figure out how to play it, but it was on my wishlist all last year and finally got it when it went on sale recently.
2022-07-15 | Quimbyrbg | A surprisingly fun game with an interesting mechanic. The app is nothing more than it needs to be and is cleanly presented. If the US civil war theme doesn't interest you, it is mostly aesthetic and won't impact your enjoyment of the game underneath. I haven't lost to the AI yet despite only just learning the game, but every match has been very tightly contested. Recommended for the low price.
2022-06-12 | William Rummler | Pretty deep little game. Played about a dozen times so far, against a friend, and it's been a lot of fun. I haven't really tried playing the AI yet. At least as of v1.0.2, there's a tiny flaw in the way the cards are discarded when the Event Discard optional rule is enabled. But the dev team knows about it and is working on it. Anyway, great game and port, deserves way more notice than it seems to get.

2022-02-23 | Steve Thompson | Great game. Play the board game as well.
2020-05-27 | Eric Kumalac | I only just began solitaire wargaming (non-cyber), even so, I instantly recognized the designer, Mark Herman. Several of his works are directly responsible for my conversion to the hobby, so I was both thrilled to see this ingenuous little game available off-PC, and have found it to be a more-than-worthy adaptation--all the way around (it is, in fact, the only game I now bother playing on devices at all)!
2020-05-24 | Mike jr | Wonderful.
2019-05-26 | A Google user | The interface is fine, but I purchased this to play offline against the A.I. on my Android device, as the description mentions, and the A.I. is very slow and thus far not very I. at all. |
