1 star. Your range characters can teleport through your melee characters to attack but not the other way around?? If a range hero is on a tile blocking a door, no one can walk or attack past them. Your range hero however can teleport through your melee hero & put themselves out of position & mess everything up. For if a range hero is struggling on a door tile, then no melee hero can help or walk through them. The food mechanic is abysmal & unrealistic as you can't scavenge or stockpile. 1 star.
This isn't such a bad game. Previous comments mentioned the game was difficult, it is, but if you can't solve a level in 20 resets, then you're fully justified to uninstall. Is the game more like puzzle solving and less like tactics? Sure is. But, it's ok. It's the characters you want. And you want to figure out which boxes give you food. I enjoyed the simplicity and I look forward to more. I only took off a star for the shortness.
Game is fun, but very hard. As of writing this review I'm at the second to or last mission with the van. No RPG, pure turn based strategy. As game progresses the difficulty skyrockets, and seems more or less a puzzle game. The reason for saying the game feels like a puzzle is because it feels like there's not as much strategy with the endless amounts of enemies. Instead you're forced to figure out how to play the board/level rather than actually using your units to win. About 12 hours to beat.
