Even with the animations off (thank you devs), I worry those fast moving blocks and bright orange, and even the game message that pops up after the board fills, those might be too flashy for someone with a photosensitive disorder. |
| 2024-02-08 |  | | As the saying goes, if it ain't broke don't fix it. They "fixed" what was essentially a perfect app and the results are less than satisfying. The white background is harder on the eyes than the old yellow, and if you don't turn off the animations for some reason the entire field flashes white whenever you make a move. The resulting strobing effect is less than enjoyable on the eyes. App overall feels clunkier and chunkier. Can we get an do over on this? |
| 2024-01-29 |  | | Used to be a great simple game that I regularly played for several years. Recent updates have made it simply unpleasant. The game worked, and worked well. The added features such as achievement and leaderboard are just not necessary, every user knew when they got 4096.. The gameplay, while it has improved, is still clunky and lags, where it never used to. I hope whoever implemented the recent changes truly reflect on how they took a good thing and ruined it for many. |

NOT worth my high score. I've played this for years and my heart is broken. I also miss the old game over screen. Furthermore, before it allowed you to undo your last move if it led to a game over but now it doesn't. |

I'm complaining a lot about a free game, but it was fine until now Last update ruined everything, deleted my game (I *finally* had magma doge) and now it is laggy and slow even though I turned the animation off. It's like the developers sat down and said 'hmm, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this, we should make it way worse right?' and then they all high-fived each other. This was my mindless fun twitch game, and now it's not fun anymore |

They took a simple, satisfying, fun time-waster of a game and "upgraded" it to a bloated, clunky, laggy, frustrating experience. Unfortunately, I just can't recommend this new version to anyone. Either find the old apk file online or just play the regular 2048; either one is leagues better than the mess they turned this one into. |
| 2023-12-22 |  | | This used to be a great simple game but the latest update completely broke it. The play area is much smaller now to accommodate a menu screen on the bottom. But what's worse is the smooth scrolling of the tiles no longer exists. It's now really clunky and sometimes tiles will stay stuck for seconds at a time in midair. Time to delete this game. Real shame I always liked it. |
