Also my account was locked as suspicious just fir attempting to haggle a bit with a seller. Overall horrible experience for a deal that wasn't much of a deal in the long run. |

The app uses on average 37MB of RAM and 377MB of storage space, which is absolutely gluttonous for a shopping app. For context, both Ebay and my browser use about 15MB of RAM. It crashes a LOT. I purchased some things on here a while ago. Recently, Mercari added new fees and the shipping has gotten more expensive. I agree with the other reviewers that fees should be on the seller's end so they can choose prices. I don't know if it's worth shopping here anymore. |

I advocated for it and told a lot of people about the app. I felt motivated to post items because it felt fun and modern compared to other sites. However, new fee system isn’t good. I would have preferred to keep the old way where the sellers kept the fees. Even from a seller point of view, it feels more fair. As a buyer, the shipping + the extra transaction fees. The cost can be an extra $20! It's less worth it. |

The estimated package weights are inaccurate as well which has led to upcharges that result in even less $. Customer service is poor as well. I received a shirt that was too big and they told me I was stuck with it. I received a hoodie with a stain so I tried to start a return and they never even got back to me. |

| 2024-11-15 |  | | I started selling on Mercari in 2022, because eBay would only let me list 3 items as a new seller. I began selling items almost immediately on Mercari, and could list as much as I wanted! The seller fees were about 14%, which is about what eBay takes, too. However, since they changed to no fees for sellers, they charge the fees to the buyers now, and it has caused a decrease in sales - I kind of wish they'd just go back to charging the fee to sellers. Also direct deposit should be free. |

I've sold about 300 items a few years back. I came back to continue after a long hospital stay and rehabilitation for the knee and foot surgeries on both legs. Plus I'm buying for 6 years. 99 of 100 buys were great and the one percent always made the sale 100xs better. Ask me & I'll tell you more. Let's all play nice & make friends for the hobby!! |

I've gotten screwed 3 times out of a total of $128 for items that had been shipped and the buyers were allowed to cancel mid-shipment!! I'm definitely looking to delete this app and find another one. At this point I don't care if the fees, etc are more than this one. This used to be a decent platform to sell things but not anymore. |

Example I purchased an item for $26 after shipping, taxes and almost every fee imaginable, my total was $39! Returning to Ebay b/c I make out a lot better there! I understand everyone is trying to hustle and make money but come on! I think I'm pretty done with this app. |
