2023-02-02 | David Druckenmiller | The Harmony app is pretty great. It's been a while now since I configured my Elite and Hub, so I can't speak to the setup process at the moment. Using the phone as a remote control works pretty well though. I don't do it often, but it's nice to have the option for times when I don't want to get up and get the real remote, or I'm busy in the kitchen but want to turn on the news without going to the living room. The app's remote control UI mirrors that of the actual Elite remote.
2023-01-21 | Richard Mead | Issues with adding new devices that aren't in the database. No way to modify buttons that aren't there. Inputs that you add are unavailable when setting up an activity. App loses connection to hub constantly when learning IR commands. When you have to restart the learning, it wipes out the previously learned IR. Also, shame on Logitech for buying out Harmony and then abandoning it
2022-11-14 | Steve Steve | A life saver since they killed off their hardware business. I had the elite set up for years until the touch screen stopped responding to touches. Now it's a paper weight and I ended up using an older, spare phone loaded with the software to keep functionality. It's terrible that Logitech absolutely ruled this market then decided they're done with it. I wish I had some advanced notice before they quit selling the good remotes. Now they're crazy expensive if you can find them.
2022-11-06 | D. Peters | I have used my Harmony Hub for the last 8 years linked with Amazon Alexa for voice commands. Quit working this past week. I have tried everything except a factory reset of my Hub. Don't want to have to rebuild all of my activities that still work with the app and remote. The app also can't reach the Logitech servers tonight when I tried to edit the activities and reconnect to Alexa.
2022-10-08 | Nicklas Johnson | Garbage toilet app, totally amateur hour, and only rarely any updates or bug fixes. Can no longer make edits from the app: it says to enable the browser app in the phone (it is enabled, obviously). Cloud service is massively laggy, if it bothers handling your commands at all. Clear that Logitech has abandoned this product line. Avoid this entire ecosystem.
2022-09-10 | Sidris667 | Absolute trash, totally locked out of remote settings because this ridiculous app doesn't work. Can not edit any devices or activities, whenever I try it sends me to login page, and then cuts back to blank screen before I have even finished putting in my password (will only stay on login screen for about 30-60 sec before auto reverting to blank screen no matter what you do). Can not use email, password, or Google login.
2021-12-03 | Adam Newman | A recent update broke the app completely. If this happened to you, then uninstall/reinstall it. Clear storage for the app works as well. I also reset my Harmony Hub, but IDK if that was necessary. It paired, configured wifi, logged in, and restored the old config. So it works great when it works. Logitech, please add some telemetry to your app so you know when this happens. Potential repro steps: Install an older version that was live this summer. Upgrade the app to the latest version.
2021-02-17 | Daniel Y | Well got a new phone and now wondering why harmony needs my actual location for me to continue setting up? The remote and the app are sub par to start with. The remote will sometimes do things just from being picked up. In my case it is usually switching to HULU. Sometimes I don't even pick it up and this happens just while lying on the table push mute or ff or rw. Also making me create a password so strong I could never commit it to memory means has to change every time I make a change.
2021-02-05 | Renardo Blackwell | Save yourself the time, frustration and most importantly money! It's just not worth the money spent for really bad customer service (FYI, it doesn't exist) and a gutter sewage app. Don't believe me? look at how often they respond to comments. Just get a regular universal remote, they're way more logical and easy to use. Some of these issues have been around since the beginning and it doesn't look like they plan to fix any issue that customers are complaining about. Alternatives: nothing logitech
2020-12-06 | Alan Toner | This app is hot garbage. You can't customize any actions. I tried to add a function on the remote, you can't customize remote commands. I added commands to turn on a fireplace, I can't turn it on with out the activity trying off the TV, for no apparent reason. The app has not had any features added or any bugs fixed despite a 2.6* rating. Clearly, Logitech does not care about this product. I will never buy anything from this company again. |
