The lights are fantastic, 10/10 no question, but the app? ... It's horrendous and needs a lot of work. I expected better for lights of this quality. It's unintuitive, doesnt allow for deletion of dream views without reconnecting to devices (which it fails to do and then the lights strobe horribly). There are other disappointing let-downs I could go into, but other reviewers nailed it, so I won't repeat them. I signed up to be a beta tester because Govee needs user input badly.

The features arent bad, has a good deal of options and more control than I think Id ever need for a humidifier. However the app DEMANDS full location access and precise location. this is a red line with me, there is AABSOLUTELY NO LEGIT REASON a humidifier control app needs that. And the p.o.s. app just sends you in an infinite loop demanding it. Huge mark against the design and the entitlement of the dev and app. 1 star is too kind.

Wide range of options displayed. Sadly, there are no tutorials on creating basic displays. App options is not intuitive. Online tutorials on using the Govee app do not even match the app (as of Nov 2024). E.g., locating DIY results in a app page that does not have a + symbol to even create diy displays
