2024-11-20 | Jessica M. | WARNING: Don't pay for a subscription until they fix their technical issues. I've been having the same issue other users have been having; you get charged for the subscription but it doesn't work. Luckily, I was able to get a refund both times that I tried. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app doesn't help. It looks like this has been going on for 2 months or so, based on other reviews. No response from customer service. My kids are bummed!
2024-10-26 | Levi S. | Not bad. I got this so that when I'm away for work I can call home, read my daughter a story and share my screen on the video call for her to follow along with the illustrations. Definitely like that you can save favourites. There seems to be some sync issues with the web/browser and the app though. Favourites added on the web page are not showing up in the app. Quite annoying especially if you have a toddler that wants to hear her favorite books again....and again....an again. Lol.
2024-10-10 | Yakov Fradkin | The Epic App has awesome content! But when I let my son use it, he inevitably ends up only doing Read-To-Me (RTM), consuming the content passively instead of actually reading. I know that the application has a button to pause the RTM feature. Unfortunately, my son would never use this button when I'm not around. The problem is that the application lacks the parental control to *permanently* disable this irresistible AV media feature. I challenge the developers to add such an option to the app
2024-09-04 | Chantal Simons (Chantal) | Lots of reading material, but for some reason, on my phone, I cannot send books to my children from the parent dashboard. There is simply no "send" button on any book at all. I also noticed on my phone I cannot access my lists, just the favorites. For $60 a year, I expect full access to all features across all devices I use.
2024-03-28 | Hope Williams | I downloaded this to use offline on a road trip. The app works great when connected to wifi but none of the books I downloaded would work offline. When offline, the app kept freezing and I never could get it to work. Glad I was able to cancel during the trial. It does work well on wifi, just not what I wanted it for
2024-02-16 | Stacy Taylor | It's so good, and guess what? NO ADS 0 ads like I can read 500 books and not 1 ad will come up literally like we have wanted this and know we have it only 1 thing, tho when you hold a word for some time, it will pop up the definition of that word BUT WHEN YOU TAP ON IT,IT WON'T SHOW YOU THE DEFINITION but other than that it's a great app OH and did I forget to mention that it has various videos like how to build an stuff like that but yeah it's a great app you should definitely download it.
2023-01-26 | Christina Huber | I got the app because of good reviews and my child loves reading. I got the app and signed up,but it blocks my way with an add for unlimited and there is no way to exit out of it. At the bottom it has a sign in and each time I sign it it sends me straight back to this add and it keeps looping and I can't get out. So much for a "free" app. It seems like either I have to pay the unlimited fee or delete the app. I'd rather know outright it isn't free than to go through the trouble.
2022-09-28 | Krystal Daetz | We love the audio books but really prefer the "read to me" section. It reads to them as well as lets them follow along with the story. Quizzes really help make sure they are paying attention. We also really love the added music/sounds that help bring the words to life and helps paint a clear picture in your mind of what is happening in the story. I have the unlimited and have an account for myself (30) , my oldest (9), my middle (3), and the youngest (2). We all LOVE epic reading!
2021-09-22 | Stefanie DeFiglia | Wonderful app. My daughter loves it. However, I upgraded to Unlimited through Google Play but the upgrade is not reflected in the app. She still can't access what she wants, and it still shows up as Epic Free. I submitted a support request days ago with a copy of the receipt and I haven't heard a word. No one gets back to you. My advice is to stay on the free side until they fix the upgrade issue and until they have the capacity to deal with their support tickets.
2020-12-11 | Ginny “GinMarie” Rake | This app is great! I like the variety of books available, though I hope the library continues to expand. The user interface is easy to navigate and I love being able to download for offline reading. Two things I'd like to see added are a repeat button so the littlest readers can easily replay the same book again and again. Add the ability to download the book from the non grid style list along with the available options, collection and/or favorite. |
