2024-11-30 | SD DS | This app is junk. It doesn't work with tablets!?? Using my cellphone, it just keeps scanning for the Cafe double wall oven. I try adding it manually, and it still doesn't work. The app found it once, but as soon as I closed it and went back later, the appliance was not found. Total trash, I spent all of this money, and I can't even use the features.
2024-11-29 | Joel Andrew | As many other people have described, this app is near useless for the profile series washer and dryer. Being notified it's done running is somewhat nice but not impressive in any way. The only control I have is the delayed start time. Pretty disappointing for an alleged smart appliance with an app. I suspect this is nothing more than a data gathering and selling app. Will probably uninstall and use them as they are.
2024-11-28 | Rebecca Flaum | This app is absolutely terrible. While the dryer has a setting for app control the app doesn't actually have any settings, and the dryer sheet tracking is bizarre and totally unnecessary. The controls for the oven only occasionally work, and otherwise keep resetting to what it was before. The fridge settings tell you what the temperature is set to but not what it actually is. Basically this app is completely useless.
2024-11-24 | Matt Lee | Great to see the continued investments and improvements in this app! It connects to appliances quickly and several new helpful features. Two suggestions/requests: 1. The home screen view should include time remaining on the appliance tile when things like dishwashers and laundry machines are running. 2. Make the Shortcuts feature optional (they are not currently helpful for me; therefore, a waste of screen real estate).
2024-11-24 | James Mitchell | App setup is terrible. It can't find my GE Oven by scanning. The manual setup is even more hopeless: it finds the oven and switches to the temp network, but then won't accept the oven name (because it contains numbers, which the app won't accept.) I tried just putting in the password, which it appeared to accept, but then it couldnt find my home Wi-Fi network, so it just spun and spun, until I fully closed the app. Relaunching, it refused to connect to any network until I rebooted the phone.
2024-11-22 | Mark Adams | The app connected to my oven and worked fine when I bought it, about 6 years ago. After one of the updates, it no longer connects. Update: After going through the setup process about 8 times, the app locked up again, but seemed to have progressed several steps further this time. I re-launched it and discovered it is connected to my oven. Setup for this app is full of seemingly insane steps, but now that it's connected, I will play with the features for a while and update here again.
2024-11-20 | Lynn Allen | I was expecting to be able to use Alexa to turn on/off the oven light, but the only integration for the oven is to control the temperature and oven state. The app can turn on the light so it would be possible to add the light to voice control devices. I also have 3 stars since it was difficult to get the oven to connect to the app and the app interface is cluttered with lots of ads.
2024-11-13 | Keysalis Fermín Pacheco | The boot up time for this app is insane! I love that I can control my device from an app but I have to wait a good minute to get into the app first. It's ridiculous. (EDIT) And YES it is updated, trust me I check every day to see if the problem is fixed and nothing. I suggest connecting your device using google home instead, that's what I've done to get by even though it does not have the same features.
2024-11-10 | Patrick Runkle | The laundry machines work great but the smart features are useless. It's also buggy AF. The only way to get app control is to push buttons on the machine to give app control. The app can only start and stop the machine (when you are standing in front of it and select APP control on the machine, so what's the point of using an app when I'm standing right there??) and the app tells you when a machine is finished running. GE, please abandon this whole code and start over from scratch.
2024-11-07 | Kelly W. | When we first got our combo washer/dryer, I was able to connect it to my network and the app with no problems. However, after recently getting new Internet service, I've lost connection with it and cannot restore access no matter what I do. I've removed the device and tried re-adding it again, but now it's not finding my network. Argh, this is beyond frustrating. I like to record my usage on a monthly basis, along with my electric usage, and use the app to do so, but now I can no longer do that. |
