2024-11-06 | Laz Rojas | Over the past week, many thumbnails and photos and user avatars simply don't load at all. Never had this problem before. I have the app installed on four different devices and this problem happens on all four. However, if I sign into Flickr on a web browser instead of the app, there are no problems and every image displays normally. So there is something wrong with the app, perhaps after the latest update. I updated the app on all of my devices on October 27, and the problems started after that.
2024-10-29 | David C | Couldn't even set up an account... Verifing email, but error came up that account creation could not be completed. Contacted support and they said email account flagged as 'risky' even they were unable to help. Tried creating brand new email and it too blocked. On to something else, then! After posting my review there are a lot of people having same problem. Flickr responds to the positive reviews, but seems to ignore all the ones with login issues.... They really don't want us to use it!
2024-09-08 | Nick | struggles to load images in my albums. that's the whole point of the app? also, apparently you can't download images from mobile web, just the app and the desktop site, yet, the app is buggy and frequently won't load. as I type this, I realize there is absolutely 0 reason to continue using Flickr in modern times if the only reliable UI is the desktop website (which crashed for a week in July) "Starting download" is the biggest lie Flickr tells. Painfully difficult to access my own files.
2024-08-08 | Roy Obrecht | What update turned on auto-upload?!!! Seriously, I never would have turned that on and to my horror, I see it chewing up my network uploading over 7,000 images and had I not noticed this, it would have uploading over 50,000 images. Deleting the auto-upload album is slow and I'm not even sure if it's happening in the background. What a pile of rubbish this b app is.
2024-07-30 | Kenta Goto | Couldn't find a way to report an issue in app so writing this review. The app wont show all the photos when sorted by Date uploaded. Mine will not show about 5 years worth of photos. Also the saving photo currently is very bugged for me and it will not save the photo to phone folder until I restart the phone. Please fix these issues.
2024-07-25 | Andrew | Cant look at your emails in the app vs regual browser. When you sign into using browser it will open with the app. So something is broken. No option for re-arranging pics on phone either way. Id have to haul my laptop down to a coffee shop just to re arrange pictures? Otherwise i kinda like "flickr"overall. When i google search (my name flickr) results are right there. Nice.
2024-07-21 | Anon Theory | Really hasn't been a great app. My main thing is wanting a place to upload and store photos, whether mobile or DSLR. But I've never been able to actually download the photos to my mobile device to share them... Always have to end up screenshotting it, killing the quality defeating the purpose. I've used flickr since 2007, about the end it and just use my Google drive...
2024-06-02 | Richard Johnson | This app would be OK if it worked for contributing. But it is unreliable. 1) Uploads (for last decade!) fail silently more often than not (no errors). 5-7+ retries can eventually succeed. Dropbox, Google, &c on same net have 100% quick success. 2) Pro support is non-functional. Team stonewalls by asking questions previously answered in tickets, closes tickets without fix, suggests reinstalling app again. They'll never fix uploading from this app.
2024-05-01 | Jeffrey Rocchio | For me, the app is useless. First, will only upload a single photo at a time, manually. When I select several photos to "share" to Flickr it ignores them and nothing posts. With no error message. Second, the android app doesn't let you control album sort order, or cover, or pretty much anything. I have to just use the phone's web browser, set to *desktop view*, to keep a shared album updated with new photos while traveling. An absurd situation.
2024-04-09 | Aaron Kennison | The latest version of The Flickr app doesn't allow me to click through to my images that have comments or have been favorited. If I click on the icon for my image all I get is a blank screen and no image data. Nice try flickr, you've still got a long way to go to be a decent app. I cleared the app cache and data and re-logged in, no improvement. |
