Over the past week, many thumbnails and photos and user avatars simply don't load at all. Never had this problem before. I have the app installed on four different devices and this problem happens on all four. However, if I sign into Flickr on a web browser instead of the app, there are no problems and every image displays normally. So there is something wrong with the app, perhaps after the latest update. I updated the app on all of my devices on October 27, and the problems started after that.
Couldn't even set up an account... Verifing email, but error came up that account creation could not be completed. Contacted support and they said email account flagged as 'risky' even they were unable to help. Tried creating brand new email and it too blocked. On to something else, then! After posting my review there are a lot of people having same problem. Flickr responds to the positive reviews, but seems to ignore all the ones with login issues.... They really don't want us to use it!
struggles to load images in my albums. that's the whole point of the app? also, apparently you can't download images from mobile web, just the app and the desktop site, yet, the app is buggy and frequently won't load. as I type this, I realize there is absolutely 0 reason to continue using Flickr in modern times if the only reliable UI is the desktop website (which crashed for a week in July) "Starting download" is the biggest lie Flickr tells. Painfully difficult to access my own files.
