App summary

Advanced open-source Gameboy Advance emulator based on VBA-M with a minimalist UI and a focus on low audio/video latency, supporting a wide variety of devices from the original Xperia Play to modern devices like the Nvidia Shield and Pixel phones.

Features include:
* High-level BIOS emulation, no BIOS file needed
* Supports the .gba file format, optionally compressed with ZIP, RAR, or 7Z
* Cheat code support using VBA-M-compatible files (.clt extension), don't use any "Master" codes since they aren't needed
* Supports hardware accelerometer, gyroscope, and light sensors
* Configurable on-screen controls
* Bluetooth/USB gamepad & keyboard support compatible with any HID device recognized by the OS like Xbox and PS4 controllers

The bike racing game Motocross Challenge is included courtesy of developer David Doucet. No other ROMs are included with this app and must be supplied by the user. It supports Android's storage access framework for opening files on both internal and external storage (SD cards, USB drives, etc.)

Does everything I want out of a GBA emulator. Loads mGBA .sav files directly and saves them in the same directory as the roms. Has a good default layout. Still working on getting a button for quick save, but this checks all the necessary boxes for me. I downloaded off the GitHub initially, but wanted to support the developer, so I bought it here as well. Worth the $5 if you have it.

Pros: Option to stretch to full screen. Cons (applies to all .emu apps): 1) The on screen controls are really ugly and not transparent so it covers up the game. Solution for developer: Only show the border and the button letter and make everything else transparent so users can see the game content more clearly. 2) If you have a cheat file with over 30 cheats, there's no way to bulk turn them on or off, manual 1 by 1 is hassle. 3) This app is based on VBA, not the faster and more accurate MGBA

I'm not sure if it happens to other people. But sometimes it has background music playing even after exiting the application. Sometimes it happens out of nowhere when I'm on YouTube or just listening to music on YouTube Music. Developer. Please find a fix for this as it happens often.
