I didn't think I'd enjoy this game as much as I expected and glad I gave it a shot. A unique twist to the tower defense genre with more towards real-time strategy. I normally dislike tower defense type games but ash echoes is different enough as you can move your units around during a battle in real time and with limited skill usage so there's more strategy involved than just place your units and auto the whole game. Definitely give it a shot if you like this type of gameplay

Story is entertaining. Characters are interesting, diverse, and well developed storywise and combatwise. QoL quick auto farming, but requiring manual tactical input for tougher battle mechanics is great. Sometimes the text auto continues by itself which is annoying. The combat can get cluttered and hard to tell where your characters are at times (crucial to avoid high damaging enemy abilities). But overall great game.

It has great combat with nice abilities. However some designs are over the top like fashion shows. And too much reading to get the premise of the story. It could be condensed. However they put a lot of love into it and it pays off.
