App summary

Day One is the journal app that reinvented journaling. Completely private, cross-platform, and designed to never fill up, Day One is designed to let you capture your life as you live it. Use Day One as a daily journal, personal diary, note taking app, travel log, or gratitude journal.

“Day One creates something so rare it feels almost sacred: A completely private digital space.” – New York Times

“Day One makes keeping a journal delightfully easy.” – Wired

“It’s perfect! Does what it says on the box. I was able to import my stuff from another (pricey) journal so that I didn’t lose those entries. It’s easy to add multiple entries to a day and to keep pictures. And it’s lockable, keeping private thoughts protected. I will happily use Day One for years.” – Day One user

I've been using this app for 3 years now, and the very same sync issues keep popping up. I can never keep my web journal synced to my android phone. It's very frustrating. They fix it, then break it again with the next update. The concept is great, but implementation with Android sucks big time!

Nice & simple but seems to have a bug or two. most times I try to cut and paste inside of a journal entry, when I hit the paste button the app freezes and I get a message that the app stopped responding. it's frustrating and a time waster. it's the only app on my phone that behaves that way so I hope they fix it.

This app has great potential. I love that there are many options for documenting your thoughts and ideas. The one issue I have is that when you attempt to go back and correct a word, the app duplicates the word. Looking through older reviews, this has been a longstanding issue and has yet to be corrected. I also read that features for android are still being developed. For these reasons, I decided to wait to updgrade to the premium version.
