This app is absolutely horrific. Multiple crashes, unclear area on where to tap for selecting something like "I want to pick it up" or the pharmacy I want to pick up from. I'm in a "waiting room" with a 7-20 minute wait, and I keep being told to watch for a notification to join my video call. I am not optimistic the notification will even work. The alternative to call a phone number doesn't work either, the number is disconnected. Barely works on a Pixel 7 Pro. Apple version is no better.

Constantly crashes whenever I try to login and when I try to log on the app prompts me to use biometric login when I didn't even set up the app for it, but constantly asks for biometrics. It's all moot as no matter what, the app crashes and I can replicate each and every time. I'm curious if this is because my phone is a bit old (Samsung Galaxy S8+)? Any suggestions would be helpful.

Terrible interface! The section where your test are located is VERY hard to access. The static content takes up 70% of the screen leaving a tiny section to try and scroll through. The majority of the screen asks to set up a scanner that, from what I can tell, the average user wouldn't use. Each tests forces you to create a new profile which is redundant for no apparent reason. I am still waiting on results for a test I mailed a week ago so as of now I am only reviewing the app functionality.

I wish I could say that I've successfully used the Cue Reader and app at least once. Attempt 1 (months ago): Made an account, had to sync it to my phone, started the test, and was finally told at the very end that my test was expired. Attempt 2: Software update won't start because the reader isn't charged (and won't charge, apparently). I can't take the test because the reader doesn't recognize it's plugged in to the charger. This system is entirely too complex: too many breakable parts.

When it works, this app and the associated device are fantastic. Unfortunately the software is very flakey. In particular if your phone's lockscreen/sleep engage while a test is running (which is likely since the test takes 15 minutes), it will often cause the test to abort. In theory the phone should be able to reconnect to the cue device after waking the phone, but in practice this usually fails. The only workaround is to babysit the phone for the entire 15 min keeping it awake.

I was able to successfully complete the handful of tests I was taking in the past couple months, so that's good. My husband's name doesn't display on his tests when it's completed, only a seemingly random ID shows up there. It would be grate if that would be fixed. Also, since the latest firmware update the device is always on while it's battery lasts.

Useless device and app You waste 30 mins just for the test to be "cancelled" or "invalid" - I think it contains a coin to decide which. The device itself has a battery, but there's no way to turn it off, so you always have to charge it before use. Just buy the other COVID tests. I do that even though I get CUE ones for free. Customer service talks down to you and say you must have looked at the device funny.

Save your money! Very unreliable app and test module. I've burned through several tests when the app and reader disconnected or there was an issue with the cartridge. Given how expensive these cartridges are, they are a total waste of money. I'd recommend buying your usual test @$20, versus using something that is extremely unreliable.

Updating my previous review: the bugs and issues that I had trouble with in the past are largely resolved! I can now use the app without needing to go into settings and turn on GPS, and it waits for a test to be done before triggering a firmware update (though I wish it would let you access your results even if the firmware needs updating; sometimes I am waiting on that test result to leave the house!)

UPDATE: just upgraded to the latest version and now all tests fail 100% of the time with "cartridge error". Badly broken! PREVIOUS: Pairing is very flaky. Cue device will be "lost" in the middle of a test. Can't re-pair and there are no diagnostics. Just a lot of spinners. Charged and plugged-in reader is sitting one foot away. Top tip for app developers: always give diagnostics for critical operations like pairing.
