2024-12-12 | Aysaq Chaudhry | I knew Clipper had a bad app but what I did not anticipate was just how terrible it was at updating or even connecting me to the payment screen. I don't use auto-pay because I have read that it is very difficult to opt out of. So I manually pay for every trip per week since I have a consistent work schedule. Now the app won't update and it gets stuck at the payment screen, now I can't pay for my rides. Please fix this app. I don't carry cash.
2024-11-28 | Ky | I enjoy using public transit and my clipper card, but this app desperately needs improvements all around. I would go so far to say it's unusable (at least when it comes to certain features). But I think if improvements are made, and it's issues are fixed, it'd be a great and convenient tool to have.
2024-11-04 | Raquel Leonberger | Needs Improvement - App was working well until Nov 2 after crossing the Bay bridge tunnel coming into SF. My app was on during my ride and must have crossed connections. After getting to my stop, the app longer works. MY Clippercard with funds was no longer showing my card. Somehow, my digital card is no longer available . I need my issue fixed. Can't use my digital card anymore.
2024-10-27 | Steve Bratcher (Stebo) | Wasting space on the phone. Lost a card on BART; the app won't let me delete the card, or even REPORT it lost! The app doesn't show activity of ANY of my cards (one is on-phone, and 2 are plastic cards). But, I'll be dawned! The payment section works just fine. Don't expect to be able to do anything else, though.
2024-09-30 | Jake Spisak | Slow, buggy, and steals your money. The system for loading money takes hours, essentially forcing you to use autoload to avoid risking not being able to pay for a trip. But the autoload is like loaning $30 to clipper: it's a minimum $20 reload once you dip below $10. Then heaven forbid you want to cancel autoload - there is no way to do it in app. The "instructions" to do so online are total nonsense. Clipper is a scam.
2024-09-22 | Rachel Padget | This app is essentially unusable. There is no information displayed in app, I have to log into a web browser to even view passes to purchase. I have tried canceling my montly passes and it refuses to do so and now after over 1 year of tagging into terminals that allegedly "update" my information, it charges $81 for a monthly pass I canceled over a year ago. Borderline criminal and theft.
2024-09-19 | Kirill Igumenshchev | got stuck and couldn't get out because the app wouldn't process my debit card. I had to do process the payment using Google pay. the app gave me a few errors with Google pay then after a restart, processed it. also transferring the card to a new device is too time consuming. the security is not justified for $20. also after I loaded the card, the processing took a while so I was stuck in bart for a while.
2024-09-12 | alexkenefick | I want clipper, tap, compass, and connect cards out of my life. They unnecessarily complicate using transit. The private partners behind clipper and other tap to ride technology are making money off of this too. Instead, California Transit agencies should commit to a statewide integrated payment system using the tap feature and credit cards, debit cards, and hopefully, soon, electronic benefits cards.
2024-06-30 | Aleda M. Fuller | Not user friendly, won't register my card in one attempt. Took me years to register. The activity history doesn't show especially all the credits I put into it. I'm on auto load at the same time I put money every trip. I wanna see them but the app is just circling then error. Worst App. This is public transportation app you would think you live in California with all the tech hub they can't even provide an efficient app for public to use. I will opt out from auto load now, I don't trust this !
2024-06-18 | Little Man's Mama | I found this app frustrating. I am able to add a new clipper card but not covert to GPay and my phone has all the qualifications to do so but this app keeps giving an error. So then I try to add a payment, nope, that didn't work either. I have a registered card that is lost. Do you think I can use this app to report it as lost or stolen? Nope, nada, no bueno. Strike three, your out! Uninstalled |
