2024-11-30 | Tim Favro | I've been using iknow for years. I used to love it and even bought a lifetime subscription. But the application became useless as I racked up the vocab but didn't learn complicated kanji. It really doesn't teach them. It just expects you to know. A lot of these kanji Japanese people don't even use. It's a shame it didn't include any furigana or give an option tone down the kanji a bit. I can no longer use the app. As I'm not willing to learn thousands of kanji.
2024-10-24 | Vasia | This app actually helped me a lot regarding pronounciation and learning japanese contextually, I don't get why there are so many negative reviews. I'm guessing it's because it wasn't like this some updates ago.
2024-10-19 | Ignacio tomas balbuena | Recommended app for learn the katakana and hiragana. Im going through the beginner courses and so far is a recommended app
2024-07-24 | Max Lee | This app is easy to use, and you can learn japanese and chinese simultaneously, which are both languages I would like to learn. Unlike many other apps, this one is fun and simple to use. There are even courses for high-level english. I would love to see a writing exercise in a future update.
2024-07-07 | Craig Jones | Really a perfect app in a sea of garbage apps. 2024 update: Still one of the best apps for learning Japanese.
2024-03-31 | Steven Bara | I wish I had found this app years ago. I learned Japanese 6000 with another app. But it's almost impossible to understand the context of words. This app makes it so easy with the sentences! And having actual voice actors instead of Google voice is great for learning. The best thing is that the company really listens to their customers. They constantly improve the app and will implement customers suggestions. And they do so quickly and not years later. I feel it's worth every cent I pay!
2022-08-30 | Faruk Okm | Incredible. I've been studyint both English and Japanese Vocabulary. It has an effective way of teaching. I just wish there was more examples and other aspects to learn aside from vocabulary.
2021-10-12 | Jon Rulz | I enjoy this app more than anki. If you choose review 50 words a lesson. You can get 5-10 hours of using this app free. I find that it makes learning very convenient. However, the pricing is high imo. This app has no lifetime version, which almost killed it for me. I have memrise and drops lifetime. Duolingo is free. This is the only app where im forced to pay monthly or yearly. Non the less, it does a better job than anki, I like the convenience of it. Its an oldie but a goodie
2021-08-01 | Daniel | Extremely happy to have found this app. Like others I've been primarily using Anki for a long time now, but this really puts you on auto-pilot all the way from beginner to N2 for vocabulary and kanji reading. I love that it combines different kinds of tests to really solidify the new words in your head. For the developers: are there any plans to release new vocabulary and levels to get students to the 10,000 word level (for JLPT N1)?
2021-05-16 | CR | I think its great. After using Anki forever its nice to use something where everything is managed for you. Two points of critique are: when you want to select something to immediately master after a session, it refreshes the entire view. Second, the keyboard is a bit rigid and small. Would like it to have some polishing and perfecting, so it works for various fingers. |
