User reviews
I've been using iknow for years. I used to love it and even bought a lifetime subscription. But the application became useless as I racked up the vocab but didn't learn complicated kanji. It really doesn't teach them. It just expects you to know. A lot of these kanji Japanese people don't even use. It's a shame it didn't include any furigana or give an option tone down the kanji a bit. I can no longer use the app. As I'm not willing to learn thousands of kanji.

This app actually helped me a lot regarding pronounciation and learning japanese contextually, I don't get why there are so many negative reviews. I'm guessing it's because it wasn't like this some updates ago.
