Brother iPrint&Scan is a free app that lets you print from and scan to your Android device. Use your local wireless network to connect your Android device to your Brother printer or all-in-one. Some new advanced functions have been added (edit, fax send, fax preview, copy preview, machine status). For a list of supported models, please visit your local Brother website.

Mediocre, at best. I use the Android version for 420w and mfc 4500dw. You cannot have more than one machine configured in the app. If you need to print to the other machine you will have to first open the app, wait for it to detect the printer and then print. If you have a pdf file containing say, 50 or 60 pages, you will have to wait ages for the pages to show up on the preview screen and then print. Whew! It's better to use the PC. Also no provision for printing password protected pdf files.

This used to be a wonderful application, but then it stopped working. First, when I updated the application it took a long time to print, and then the Wiifi Direct stopped working. Finally, today when I updated the application my ink was disabled I think because they weren't genuine Brother's ink cartridges. The last updates have been terrible.

This app is a bit scummy. It tries to manipulate users into enrolling themselves in ink subscription plans and other toxic predatory capitalist hogwash. It is also a very plain and stripped-down printer app with few features and very little document control. But it works. Just don't expect to do many things and look for that little X because they are definitely trying to make you think that you have to press a button, but that button diverts you away from the app and towards a website.
