Last hot season I programmed the ac with the app for each day of the week. I stopped using the wifi and schedule after awhile. Recently we had a power outage and now I gmcant get the app to even open. Or the WiFi connection to turn off on the AC unit. It worked fine when I first got it. It now it doesn't work at all.

FINAL UPDATE: This "Artic King" app was quietly retired for the "Midea Air" app, which at least when it changed to the current "MSmartHome" app, the company had the decency to popup a warning to switch over! Unbelievable. The newest app isn't that much better but is smoother. ······ Old Review: App is fine, very barebones; it could easily use better/more descriptions for each function. The text that is there could use some better localization, but it's passable and gets the job done well-enough.

Last year this app required ZERO permissions, since the update this app now asks for permission for PHOTOS, LOCATION, FILES This is an OBVIOUS data grab, you can decline everytime but the app prompts you everytime you open it so it is very annoying. Please give us the option to opt out of this FOR GOOD, it is annoying to select decline everytime I want to adjust the AC. PS. I plan on dissecting this app to figure out exactly what this company is doing with this data and reporting as needs
