It comes across as an "in progress app," and is set up mostly for readers rather than authors (ex: to get to readers' comments, I have to click on each story, then the part of the story, then the comments. Despite having notifications allowed, there is no alert about these comments.). Creating anything is a nonintuitive process that often has to be refreshed, precariously (will it save as a draft this time? Who knows!). |
| 2024-11-17 |  | | Worked amazingly for a while, but suddenly it isn't working. Wattpad keeps telling me it has bugs, and the app is constantly crashing! Please fix this, and I will give this app 5 stars. Update: It is finally working again! I think it was just a problem with the book I was reading. Wattpad saves the chapter, but not the page I'm on, which is annoying, but I love this app! EDIT: Its acting up again! 😭 keeps showing the same comments on each sentence??? |
| 2024-11-09 |  | | Look I love wattpad but what I don't like is constantly dealing with ads pooping up while I read, and I don't mean going to a new chapter ad. I mean still reading a ad pops up. It's getting to the point where I'm bout to uninstall the app. I don't want to but these ads are really starting to annoy me. I have to close out the whole app just to get rid of the ad. If you could please somehow fix that I would be greatful. |

The tag filter is too limited in how many you can block, and there has been an uptake in Ai generated and ai translated books, which make it hard to find quality reads that dont feel like total garbage now. Also, the language filter seems broken, as I have my default set to English, but still get Chinese, Arabic, and other languages in my searches, none of which I can read a word of. I wish it were easier to filter out stuff other than just ten tags. |
| 2024-11-06 |  | | Not a bad app. Good for storytelling and finding all the things that make your mouth water. Only complaint is that, when writing a story, the "editor" (as I'll call it) won't let you type normally. It only lets you type in one style (with or without) and won't let you use the styling (Bold, Italic, Underscore) without making literally EVERYTHING in that style. Fix this, and I'll bump it up to 5 stars. |
| 2024-11-05 |  | | Gone Downhill I used to really like this app but it has gone so downhill. At one point all my archived stories had been removed. With ads anymore you have to exit out of them 3 time before they actually close, and no I don't want to pay to remove them. If I did I would seek that option out myself. The exclude filtering is limited. I see the same suggested stories over and over. You get logged out randomly and told to reset your password. |
| 2024-11-01 |  | | I love being able to read and write on here, but the ads have gotten excessive. I have been on this app for many years now. At first, there were no ads. Then, some ads started to come up about 3 or 4 ish years ago, and it was every 3 or 4 chapters. Then, it became every other chapter with a bar at the bottom of the chapters, and now it's after literally every chapter. I can't go back to the previous chapter without an ad, and I can't move to the next without ANOTHER ad. It's disappointing. |
| 2024-11-01 |  | | Whenever I edit the text of my story on the app, for some reason, it keeps deleting my photos and replacing them with "obj." It's a pain to fix, and it messes up my story. 😒 Why does that happen, and more importantly, is it just me? Other than that, there's no issues with the app. (Apart from having an offline reading feature, but only giving us 2 slots for free while the rest we have to pay for and the amount of ads when reading a book. But, I suppose these can be looked past. 😮💨🤷🏾♀️) |
| 2024-10-31 |  | | I love this app, I love reading all of the creative stories everyone makes. I also enjoy writing, but I have been experiencing an issue when I am writing. The app keeps centering my text while I am typing. It is rather frustrating, I can go and fix it, but it is so annoying to have to fix the alignment of my text over and over and over again. I really hope this is fixed soon because this issue is slowing down my writing process. |
| 2024-10-26 |  | | Okay, I've been a user of n in since rough 2016. I admit I love this app but there are some issues with it that just bug me. There's a LOT of ads. There's an ad between every chapter. I recently returned to a book and found I was several chapters back from where I actually was and If I close the app or even the book it won't save my place, it's super frustrating. It doesn't help the UI has been bugging out. Half the time I can't get to the chapter select menu. It's like it just doesn't exist. |
