2024-09-29 | Ryan Moore (xthree) | Mostly great. Kinda buggy. Saved names for devices on the LAN disappear and sometimes come back. Currently I'm seeing two "sets" of names randomly applying. Basically all my names disappeared, so I saved new ones. Then the old ones came back. And now it alternates between the two sets. Very annoying. Also auto watcher intervals don't fire. I have it set for every minute, and they never run.
2024-07-14 | Tony Farrell | Update (June 2024), sorted out the connection issue but for some reason this app nearly always shows a slower speed test result than any other test I use! 12 months later (May 2024), changed ISP and the app will not show internet connection. A rare thing in the world of apps! A clear, easy to use intuitive interface that does what you want with a few extras thrown in. A really useful tool for diagnosing wifi problems.
2024-07-11 | Mark Francis | Couldn't get WOL to work. Verified my NAS has WOL enabled and working (from another client). When attempting I get "Failed to send WoL packet to ". When I use the ad-hoc prompt I get the same error but this time with the MAC I entered. So the errors are inconsistent (first not printing out the MAC). Also I don't understand why this port scans when you open it. It triggers my honeypot and most of the time I don't want/need a port scan.
2024-06-22 | Ryan Matte | This app is excellent for doing network testing. I used it to prove that I was connected to the AT&T cell network, had an internal IP, gateway address, and DNS addresses assigned to me, could talk to the dns servers on port 53 but AT&T is arbitrarily blocking my internet connection because they consider my device as unsupported. Without this app it would have been a lot harder to do this type of troubleshooting on a non-rooted android device. An FCC complaint against AT&T is now open for this.
2024-05-20 | tim copperfield | Extremely weird. I downloaded this while looking for a self-hosted speed test application. I didn't want any HTML5/browser based tests, so this looked promising, even though it used public servers. But on startup, this thing IMMEDIATELY starts scanning network (even if just connected by LTE) and if you open speed test page while it's doing this "scan" the app just crashes. Extremely unstable. Also, extremely annoying that it auto-scans. I want to be able to set startup page to a specific one.
2024-03-16 | Duncan Drury | Maybe my new favourite network tool - everything you need for monitoring and troubleshooting a network. Would like to see some more network device types/icons such as switches, WiFi access points so I can better use this to keeo records of the networks I look after. What else, other than no ads, does the Pro version give me? It isn't very clear from the descriptions if there is more.
2024-01-24 | Donna Uhl | This app is great and offers features I haven't seen on other apps like it...for free....and I haven't even had one advertisement in a month. I do have a question for the developers tho...why on cellular data does it show two active devices ....one showing my phone and then another unknown device running a gateway service for incoming packets? I'm confused on that because my friends phone who has the app shows one active device.
2023-12-14 | Lyndon “El Lay” Lombardi tm | Amazing piece of tool for an IT Pro/Expert or aspiring IT in training. Has a lot of useful nettools in here. Traceroute, IP calculator, port scanner, multi IP checking on a domain (similar to pingpe but you can't define the port afaik) , subnet scanner, local network discovery, speed test etc. Thanks!
2023-09-18 | Günter Zöchbauer | The app is helpful when debugging network issues. It could make it easier to use on a phone with on-screen keyboard by using an LRU cache to select previously entered values. Also it seems not to use the default DNS even though it claims to do so for name resolution. I run into this trying to figure out why DNS with WireGuard split tunnel didn't work.
2023-05-17 | Andy G. | Many tools with many options, it is really useful. One thing that doesn't seem to work is WOL. When I setup the profile and trying to send the packets, it says "Failed to send WoL packet to". The settings are correct because I successfully receive WOL packets from other apps. |
