2024-11-22 | Mars Woddail | So they removed the god-awful tiktok ripoff UI change but didn't fix any of the issues people are citing in their 1-star reviews. Streams stop randomly without reason, crashing regularly and needing to be force closed to maintain basic functionality. Also when I have it set to run with my screen off the stream audio stops for 10-20 seconds every time I lock my phone and sometimes just breaks altogether. Also there's the annoying chat bug where it randomly breaks and has to be force closed
2024-11-22 | Dont Ask | New UI is awful, convinced me to uninstall. I thought reddit app was bad but this sets a new bar for mediocrity. Still is very unstable. They disabled chatting on the mobile site version to coerce you into the app. The twitch app is so bad they had to remove features from the website to force you to use this festering experiment.
2024-11-21 | Cyan Slush | The advertisements have a frequent tendency to crash the media player. I watch twitch on my s22u, ps5 and on my Samsung smart tv, but the errors happen on each. Reinstalling the app does not resolve. Advertisement will end but stream will not resume. Only resolved after the app is closed and opened again. But once it is reopened, you are given ads.
2024-11-18 | IBTG Music | 3 years in and the app is still buggy ONLY on Android devices! Chat messages disappear, video doesn't show, can't send anything in chat, rewards and emote menus are always bug out and nothing refreshes when myself or anyone subs or does actions that causes badges or other visual changes. I have to exit out to reset the stream all the time. Why can't it be a copy and paste from ios twitch version? Twitch has always been so buggy on android.
2024-11-17 | Javier Arellano | This streaming service has slowly become one of the worst ever. I mean, seriously, how do you go from being in the top to being beaten by TikTok of all platforms. They make you watch 5 ads so they make back what they've lost to other streaming platforms, and instead of just innovating and being creative, they offer another subscription to THEIR app that gets rid of all ads. It's truly sad to see the fall of twitch but can't say I didn't expect it, lol.
2024-11-16 | Kyran Westfall | 1. There was absolutely no reason to change the home page to a TikTok format. 2. There seems to be no way to have the old chat format of displaying it next to the stream in landscape mode. It it now forced to be either covering part of the stream or completely off. 3. Attempting to scroll up in chat in portrait mode is unnecessarily tedious and leads me to accidentally minimizing the stream.
2024-11-16 | Travis T | 11/16/2024: They reverted the changes back to the old ui this is great. 5/30/2024: As of now 2 Stars. The new Ui Menu is confusing and has no clarity on how to navigate, which frustrated me beyond. The previous one was straightforward, where I could find my follow and/or subscribed twitch streamer. A simple row of, "Following" and easy navigating. I have no idea why the developers decided to change something that was very well made and easg to navigate to begin with.
2024-11-15 | Michael Fowler | Least intuitive mobile app I have ever used. If you're going to force feed advertisements down our throats (on a live streaming platform...), it would be nice if it would actually load correctly. If it weren't for the one streamer I watch that still refuses to cross-stream, I would not use this app at all. Crossing my fingers that they wise up soon and I'll be giving Twitch the boot.
2024-11-15 | Valor Smallwood | The most recent version of the app is worse than the last, which was itself a downgrade. I can't even see a list of channels I follow anymore. The weird layout of the app is clunky and frustrating. I don't want to have a stream I didn't click on play immediately upon opening the app. And I don't want to have to scroll through individual streams to get to the one I actually want to watch. These recent changes haven't made sense to me.
2024-11-14 | DoneRandomLee | The recent updates completely ruined the mobile experience. They new design is similar to tiktok but it also does for your followed channels so you have to scroll through the randomized and hope a channel you wanted to watch at the moment is live. You don't even know if they are live anymore. Please go back to how it was. |
