2024-11-27 | Andy C | Please, please put a provision for a cursor to be used to start reading at the point chosen! It's so frustrating when we want to read a paragraph in a document and we used the current cursor highlight a word play the word then press play and the reader starts reading a different paragraph (I assume at a too of a page). We just want to place a cursor at the point we want to start reading. Also: When reading acts it spells it every time! Also 'anytime a quote like this' It states single quote!Thks
2024-08-28 | Vlad | thank you very much! it's a life saver! it has it all - remember the position where stopped, text to speech mode(which I really needed), great number of settings for sorting and arranging files. and I absolutely love "Ink" color theme - blue color was too bright. it makes to want to give you all the money in the world) P.S. and it reads pdf as easy as fb2 - terrific!
2024-07-18 | Mildred Ho | This is the best reader app right now. I use my paid TTS voice to read out pdf and epub books while I'm driving. Even after closing the app, it remembers which page and sentence I stopped, and continues reading from there. Also so far not experienced much glitches or hanging. If the page don't load, I close and open the app and it resets itself and functions normally again. I especially love that the app opens into a visual list of all the readable stuff in my phone, very easy to find the book.
2024-04-15 | Amelia Bones | I really like this app and use it daily to listen to EPUB files I download. What I'd liked fixed: TAGS: - you should be able to delete tags completely, not just off files but altogether so it no longer takes up space. - tags have a tendency to not "stick" and will remove themselves from files if you scroll down to click another tag or if you try tagging while reading then Try to add more later. Playlist: You should be able to delete files off of playlists.
2024-01-06 | Esther Underwood | On the whole, this app does what i need. I'd give it a 5, except when the book goes full screen, It took a while to figure out how to get the controls to come up in full screen mode. I do like the reading from any format. An instruction manual would help. The voice adjustment feature is great. Found that the British voice 2 sounds more realistic than the US voices. Being able to upload a pronunciation vocabulary would be nice.
2022-12-08 | John Doe | Has potential. Unfortunately, it doesn't have, or I can't seem to find, two things I find necessary. I would like what's being read at the time to be highlighted so I know where exactly it is on the page. Somewhat strange that it doesn't. Secondly, I'd like to be able to scroll down and double tap on a sentence, and the app would start reading from there. The way it only starts on the beginning of a page, even in scroll mode, is strange and awkward.
2022-07-14 | Jordan Lang | Unparalleled TTS file reader on the play store. Very customizable. The replacements function is great for when the engine doesn't recognize a place, name, etc. I find myself troubleshooting slow/non-functional TTS about once a month. It's usually an update that occured while using the TTS, solved by force stopping, clearing data, etc., or I just un- and reinstall the TTS engine (Google for me).
2022-05-05 | Chad Pauley | This app is extremely good. It may not include it's own TTS voices however you can choose whatever you want to use, even install a separate app to add more voices instead of default. There are tons of ways to customize the app and the ads are minimal. I use an old version of IVONA and these paired together work incredible.
2022-03-04 | Maurice Caler | I really want to give 5 stars. It is a dual audo / visual reader. So I can easily switch between reading and listening or reading along with listening. But there are a couple of things which I find frustrating. It is not consistent with how to move to the next page while directly reading. I sometimes have to touch and sometimes swipe. Also, swiping sometimes shifts the page part way off the screen. It is then hard to recenter the page. This could easy be a 5 star app if these issues are fixed.
2021-10-24 | Jennifer Morrey | If you're looking to JUST have it read a book to you, it does ok. But if you zoom in to see a word better, the zoomed in part becomes the whole page... you can't scroll around. If you are reading for school or something, it it doesn't allow you to highlight passages. It let's you select a passage, but doesn't save the highlighting which makes this all but useless for a student. |
