2023-12-30 | Josh Allen | The app does what it says on the tin and it does it well. Very clean, simple interface. Easily to load up for quick sessions when I don't have a ton of time. I also appreciate the option to add on additional fonts as I struggle with some of the more modern Thai fonts and practicing them, specifically, is helpful. However, I agree with others that the ability quiz specific groups of characters such as different consonant classes would be incredibly helpful.
2023-09-25 | Hylton Mayne | I actually learned the alphabet with this app! I wanted to be able to recognize symbols and read basic Thai, and I've learned more than I thought I would. Since it is so quick to practice, get your results, and try again, I actually learned all Thai symbols, and also incidentally learned the names of each symbol, which I did not plan to do. Multiple quiz forms and the ability to set up your own testing make this app stand out. I installed 6 Thai language apps, and this app taught me the most!
2023-06-04 | Alex Greer | Extremely helpful for learning to read and improve listening. It serves its purpose, and it serves it pretty well.
2023-02-07 | Thibodeaux Chris | Comes as advertised. I recommend paying for pro/premium and you can learn the entire alphabet in a weekend without spending all day doing it. Great app for learning strictly the alphabet.
2022-04-06 | Dan Kneezel | Reviewing after five minutes of use. Did one quiz so far to drill recognition of consonants and vowels. It's providing exactly the kind of practice I was hoping for! Nice work!
2022-02-01 | Art Rx | Thought it was fine at first. But quizzes are not actually randomised and uses the same flashcards every game. So one can easily memorise them to give you a false sense of achievement.
2021-08-02 | David Hicks | This app is exactly what I wanted... Something to be able to hear a letter then be quizzed in different ways to see if I can correctly (and consistently) identify it. I upgraded to premium, as some of the Thai fonts look very different, and are fairly commonly used e.g. on signs etc, so I think this is a great feature. However, I've taken a star off because the audio recordings are poor (badly recorded or very low bit rate) and sound crackly. If they were re-done I'd give 5*.
2021-07-13 | Valen Lai | Would be great if can have the option of without picture of the words meaning or romanised pronunciation in flash card mode. So we can test memory of the word without hint of the picture or romanised pronunciation. Also maybe an option to learn and test on the consonant classes as well? Memorizing the consonant classes is difficult with the layout.
2021-03-02 | Analyn Pacheco | Great update! Fonts issues were already fixed. This is a must-download offline app especially for beginner learners. It's convenient and uses only less of your storage unlike others. 5 stars for me.
2020-10-30 | Lisa Honda | A few weeks ago, I had the hardest time remembering the consonants. What has helped me is to write out the words I know and to keep a daily journal of three to five simple sentences. I use this app to keep my memory of the Thai letters and marks fresh. It helps! Thank you. |
