This is a superb aid to learning the Cyrillic alphabet. The free version is fine, but the app is so good, I want to pay for it anyway! 😁

It is a simple app that offers a lot for what can be expected with an app that just teaches you the alphabet. You could always go Premium if you want more but for merely recognizing Cyrillic letters you are fine enough with the free version. Cyrillic is not difficult to learn so you do not need a lot in order to learn it.

Surprised how easy it is to learn the Russian alphabet in just a few days. Needs to put flashcards first before quizzes so you can learn first.

I wanted to learn Russian because of my boyfriend but the language apps don't start with the alphabet - just straight into vocabulary and sentences which only helps you with languages using the Latin Alphabet, so I downloaded a few Cyrillic teaching apps & this is the one I kept. The learning style suits me perfectly & with reasonable practice (5 days a week for ~30 minutes) it took about 2 weeks to memorize Cyrillic, now I can read Russian well and can move to learning my vocabulary. Спасибо!

Fun, but difficult. It jumps into quizzing instead of starting to learn each individual letter first. Edit: go to Flash cards to start learning.

Good app for cyrilic memorization. Will be better if you can add its Roman counterpart alphabet on top of audible pronunciation for a better learning.

Very extensive and challenging yet fun to learn. How to write the numbers would be good, though the spelling is here .

Been learning Russian for about 2 days, I've tried a lot of different apps, watched a lot of videos. None have covered the names for the cyrillic alphabet, struggling to pick up the alphabet, but I'm still new so no surprise there. This is useful in itself in teaching the bare basics, I recommend it as a supplement once you've gotten a few things down and become familiar with the shapes of the letters and what most of their sounds are. Wonderful app and I'll be using it for a while. Спасибо!!

It's pretty much the best app availible. But it's far from perfect. Starting each letter with "Bokva" is redundant and doesn't help, rather waste valuable time and reduce ability of unconciously link a sound to the letters. There's too much focus on name of letters than sound. Which is counter intuitive. That Й is named " I kratvika", is useless, when the sound is a soft J(more useful). What they should do is rerecord the letters for their pronunciation only(in quiz etc) and remove Bokva.

I think this is an amazing app for practicing the Cyrillic script but I don't think this should be your only recourse. You should probably have a vague idea of how the script works before moving onto this app. It doesn't teach you ьand ъ don't make sounds you just kinda gotta know it. I highly recommend this app for people who want to memorize the script to heart but I would say watch a video about pronunciation before jumping into this if you have a vague idea of letters you can use this better
