2024-10-31 | Terry Canaan | Browse no longer works on my android. Returns a 404. I get an error message saying Google's blocking the app. Now I wish I hadn't paid for it.
2024-08-09 | Karen Spindler | I purchased version to be able to use as daydreams screen saver. But, there is no place to enter daydream settings for photocloud. I have set up slideshow, that works fine, but when I run daydreams it uses every single image found on my sd card. My phone is OnePlus Nord n10. Can you please help me with this? Many thanks. Also I sent an email to the Google groups address in the app but it bounced.
2024-01-30 | Joshua Naylor | I've been using the pro version of this app for several years now, running it on 5th Gen Amazon Fire. Everything works great synced with Google Photos, but, I can't seem to get the Start of the Day / End of the Day to work. I clicked on the menu and "set" the clock for 6A then 10P and even toggled the option above to give the app control but the slide show does not start up in the morning or end in the evening. It just keeps running all night. Is there something I'm missing wth that function?
2024-01-04 | Heiji | The basic slideshow function is fine. Two problems: 1. The Filter on Image Size option (portrait or landscape) oddly does not work for images in the Camera folder. 2. The Ignored Directory option is hard to use. I don't know what path to type in to correctly filter out a folder. I tried several times, but it didn't work. One suggestion: adding the ability to pause and to immediately go to the next image.
2023-04-17 | Chaofan Zhang (Fan) | It's a great app so far. I actually installed it on my Fire Tablet, which doesn't have Google play framework. So even I am more than happy to support the developers, I can't... Instead I have to watch the "PLEASE PURCHASE" messagess, pretty frequently - I want to purchase, but not really want to go out of my way to install Google play framework on a real old tablet... It would be great if there is another way around.
2023-04-14 | Štěpán Škorpil | It's working very well and seems to be stable. I am using it on an Android TV for a screen saver slideshow from a directory of selected photos on my Nextcloud instance. I am giving one star down for the user interface, which looks kind of outdated and not very good looking especialy on TV version. Even the slideshow view could be nicer. I also have concerns if the app will survive as it is a one man project and the source code seems to be closed. But it has all funcions I needed, good work.
2022-12-13 | S Smith | Very happy. Works well with my synology server and dlna on my nvidia shield and 65" samsung tv. Have used over 2 years now. Very addicting. Have spent many evenings watching the slideshow instead of TV. Great when u have family over. Looking forward to being able to control content shown to the folder level. I have over 500,000 pictures on server and this works great! Thank you
2022-05-05 | Christopher McElree | ...nickel and dime you to death. I paid $3.50 to be able to use a network shared picture folder for a screensaver, only to find out it's ANOTHER $3.50 to NOT have to see a double length nag slide inserted every 10 slides in the slideshow to buy the app. So if you want to have a slideshow of pictures from a network folder as your daydream/screensaver using THIS app, It's actually $7.00 to not have to look at nag slides. Total booooo! for not being upfront with the cost.
2022-02-03 | Toshiyuki Saito | I am using this app and I'm happy with watching all the family photos on my NAS over wifi. I was looking for an app that does it. I found not many. Having said that, I noticed after paying for the app (and the screen saver) that this app does not play videos. I hope the developer add video playback feature as it doesn't seem too complicated. It coudl be that the app plays videos for certain period of time (say 5 sec) from a ramdomly selected part of a video rather than playing the whole thing. It'll be even better if that is configurable.
2021-11-09 | Nik S | Very functional and simple. I don't understand the complaints about it needing access to Google Photos, the name literally has "Cloud" in the name. I love it because you can select a folder in Google Photos to play, set timer, and so much more! I paid for both, removal of developer support reminder and Daydream, even though I don't use the latter, because no other app is as functional and simple as this one after trying very many. Well done!! |
