2024-10-28 | Kirsty Caddick | Unfortunately, the match making feels skewed and unfair. On winning a game, you're immediately pit against an opponent that is many hundreds of ranks higher than you; which almost always results in a loss. Whilst I dont mind playing higher ranking players, albeit every now and then, the current player experience is just tedious. It's because of this, and the fact I have to watch adverts that refuse to properly close, before the game is even loaded, is why I've now sadly uninstalled this app.
2024-10-14 | Khrystyna Druzhynina | So, I started a game and there was a glitch where it was my turn, I did 3 different moves as the system didn't recognized that I made a step and allowed me to continue for several times, without stopping the clock and after a minute, it showed me that I lost) deducted my score just because the game was broken.
2024-05-16 | Chuck Napier | my online experience has been quite well with two games played so far. the timer is a really unique experience. The timer appears to work with two different parameters, each adding pressureto play. quite interesting. for a novice like myself, the experience is brand new, the level of intensity is amplified greatly. I found myself reacting under pressure of time and a couple times I made moves similar to muscle memory and the results were very good, sometimes not. The computer game was nice.
2024-05-13 | Diana Schaeffer | App constantly freezes. Try to watch cheesy, silly ad videos, but even that freezes. I've played this app for 2 years, but this freezing issue has me shopping for other chess apps. Update/response to creator of app, this is not an internet speed issue. All other apps on my new phone run perfectly. The problem is that the ads on your app take forever to load or even be available. It just spins, waiting to open. In order to play more than a couple of games, I uninstall and then re-download. Grrr
2023-08-29 | K H | I don't mind the ads, but I updated this game and I was only able to play the game if I have a heart which don't refill over time. Most apps have you pay, and this one does not, but you've pretty much tripled the ads. If I have to watch more ads then you should at least give a chance (heart) to play for each ad watched. It even costs a heart to resume a game offline. The game is currently free technically but it's also almost completely unplayable. This is gatekeeping chess for new players.
2023-07-31 | Jeremy George | It's filled with fake users who don't make a move so you're forced to use more coin or lightening bolts or whatever new payment they add in an attempted to get you to pay. One thing is I can't select to watch an Ad for the free energy. The option is there but it doesn't register when I select it. Another is if an opponent doesn't make one move, you're still charged the energy (and there are a lot of players who do this. Are they bots so legitimate players waste energy and are forced to buy?).
2023-06-23 | Ryan Shepherd | Uninstalled. Energy is dumb. I play on another website/app 1,000x better....because if I'm "out of energy" (2 more 30 second ads) I get it you need ads...I like the game BUT...I DON'T like being #forced into 30 second ads(or 90) and resulting in a full minute of ads or MORE to "collect" energy, just to play. You're forced into sitting through it without skipping forward. If you do this/that it's another 30 seconds(out of energy twice for nothing then again)
2023-05-20 | Aharon | The constant ads are one thing. The getting booted off the game for "No internet" when my wifi connection is working fine is another. And I know this is a problem on here because it happens on various networks. I'll be disconnected for "No internet," and everyone eles wifi connection is perfectly fine. This is extremely aggravating when this happens in the middle of a game, and I have to restart the app and accept the game as a loss for disconnecting.
2023-03-28 | Kyle Bennett | Started out fun. First thing you need 4 credits to play online. Every ad only gives you 3 so you have to watch multiple ads to play a game. Second thing is i have over 950gbs internet never have a problem with any games or apps xbox or nothing. But when playing someone online and they see their losing or about to be checkmated it tells me I disconnected. At first i thought maybe but it happens way too often, and it won't let you continue.
2022-07-27 | Aizen2468 | Horrible Glitches Cause Auto-Losses. The last several marches I've played....my opponents clock went to zero, stayed at zero for several seconds before their move finally went through. Then the game gave me about five seconds before it suddenly told me "I" had run out of time, and auto-lost. This used to be my favorite chess app, but the poor technical features have caused me several frustrating losses that have affected my score, where I was clearly about to win....but lost due to glitches |
