I recently upgraded my cell phone. I found out that the Samsung and Google message apps did away with being able to block texts using words or phases, or phone numbers using a part of the phone number (eg, the first 6 numbers). I was getting very annoyed by all the political texts and calls I was getting. I looked around and found this free app. It works great. You can send all the spam to the trash! I highly recommend this app.

Got this app for one reason only: a keyword filter. I don't want texts with a certain word in them showing up at all, so I put that word in the keyword filter. The next morning I woke up to a new text message whose very first word was the one I told the app to block. An abject failure to accomplish the only thing I asked it to do.

So far so good. The app has many ways to block unwanted spam, most useful to me is phrase blocking so if a message contains any of my blocked phrases, I won't receive it. Extremely useful. So far the ads are easy to deal with (it's just a banner at the bottom) but if that changes I will be changing my review.
