I used to love the vlc app but whenever I open it from my app menu, it crashes. whenever I try to open a video with vlc, it crashes. can't even get in to see if there's some larger issue. it just drops the second it comes up. Been happening for a few months at least. sad to see there's no update to fix it. |

| 2024-11-30 |  | | VLC is great, but the Android version automatically loads when you connect to Bluetooth, even if you haven't used it in a while. I can find no settings to turn this off. Saved adult content was playing when I started my vehicle. I turned it off and turned on the radio, when I got out of the car VLC had started again, blaring moaning noises. I had to uninstall it. |

It plays MKV and FLAC (and whatever other crazy format you want) but it crashes and depending on the level of compression it sometimes lags when opening files (on pretty nice phones). I'd appreciate a checkbox for "decode entire playlist before starting playback" or something similar to stop it choking over track intros when I listen to FLAC albums. Still... it's free, powerful, and regularly patched. Classic VLC 😅 |
| 2024-11-29 |  | | Currently experiencing an issue regarding, "this media is from an unavailable storage and cannot be played." (using Motorola g power 2021 - Android). I'm able to play both audio and video medias until I swap out from the app, in which case the storage suddenly is forgotten and undetectable. Quitting and restarting the VLC app is the only known workaround. Clearing storage, cache, and settings does not fix the bug. If the developers can get this bug fixed, I'll return the 5-star review. | 2024-11-28 |  | | Crash dummy/ mkv fails/ interface disappeared leaving show running w no controls... I've used all different kinds of Android TV and players...casting is VERY Iffy! So that's my bug report watching on the phone with this is fine but casting MKV to any television is ridiculous. I've used VLC since 1999 on my on my computer why don't you guys catch up now. |
| 2024-11-27 |  | | Scans for media to add every time you open app even when you have ALL storage deselected from the scan locations AND have rescan and scanning disabled. It rescans under those settings as soon as you clear out the scans it shouldnt have done in the first place too. This has been ongoing for years and these days I stop using intrusive apps/developers that allow themselves the entitlement to ignore your settings and do whatever they want anyway. I dont need or want 100000+ files scanned into vlc. |

Album covers not showing up, showing doubles of all tracks randomly, shuffle repeating certain songs over and over again, showing the wrong data even though I know ive tagged everything right. ugh 😞 |
| 2024-11-21 |  | | Was a good app but it is useless on Android 14, if you fast forward or rewind the image locks up but the sound continues to play. I have already reported this and was ask for screen captures to show what happens. DUH Since I have reported this issue there have been 2 update with no change with this problem. I even installed the newest version 3.5.7 on a new phone with android 14 with the same results. Too bad too this was my goto for video playback and casting to my Firestick/Samsung tv. |

It'll repeat songs that appear only once in a list and will sometime appear to be stuck on a particular portion of a list. One day I only heard artists with T or S names....... |
