It doesn't require you to sign in or use email, you just download and start browsing anonymously while being protected from websites that want to track/spy on you. So if you just want to browse the web without being tracked or hacked use this and use the safest browsing settings in the settings. |

CONS: The app itself can be spotty. If you manage to get connected to the TOR network then you might randomly timeout and lose your connection. Now you will have to close the app and start over again. Browsing can be slow. Cloudflare verifications can be slow and a lot of sites use them. Wish: make it quicker to clear browser history. |

I do have some occasional bugs and a few ideas, like rearranging tabs in the tab menu, as well as tab grouping like Chrome has. Also in the bookmarks menu, it allows you to select multiple bookmarks and then "Open in new tab". On standard Firefox this works, but on Tor it works roughly half the time. Cheers! |
| 2023-08-03 |  | | I absolutely adore the Tor protocol - my only complaint is certain pages will require you to hover a link (which can be done with a long press in other browsers such as Chrome) for certain functions, and instead attempts to open a new page. If this was fixed, this would be my daily driver, and to my knowledge I've never visited an actual .onion site - it's just a great (and private) browser! |

Tor had become too commercial, the changes have added a layer of frustration to finding that for which I'm searching. Once a great resource, great, going commercial has wrecked the uniqueness & advantages it had once offered. |

Uninstalled until a new update fixes this unwanted behavior. Fortunately, I am in a country that has options, but many others do not and depend on your app, in some cases, with their lives. When it worked it was great. You took the ability to change id away as well so now .what good is it? I have the installed a few times also tried your updates .to no avail. Now I am also getting this on my desktop computer, however I can change TOR circuits and gain access. This function is not available with the mobile app version. Two suggestions... 1. Please fix the instability of the mobile app. 2. Incorporate all features of the desktop version " ability to change circuit or ID. Thanks, Wolf |
| 2022-04-04 |  | | I am now of the opinion that one cannot use only one browser. So, I've installed a few to analyze them, and settle on 3. Tor was the very first and I'm impressed already. Nice appearance, easy to get up & running, great security settings, enough options for comfortably, and a bundle of add ons to customize it. So far I'm impressed and quite taken back by the efficiency with which it displays, plus the settings are at your fingertips with no articles and 20 step procedures and protocols to forget |
| 2022-03-30 |  | | Love this browser! Edit: Since Feb 22 the app is crashing constantly. At least 22 times in the past few weeks. I updated (that made it worse), uninstalled, reinstalled, checked settings, cleared cache... Nothing is helping. I have never had this issue before, but now the only way I can have a functioning phone is to get rid of this app. Which sucks. I really hope this is fixed soon. Tor is a great browser usually. |
