"Edit: 11/20/24 stopped working on my pixel 7, other speed test apps are working fine. Even after uninstalling it reinstalling it does not work." The free version is ridiculous with the ads. I purchased the full version and find the information very useful.

After updating the app, the comment that I made to identify the WiFi that I tested is gone! On top of that, I can't make any comments about the WiFi that I tested.

Previous version was MUCH better - They've ruined it with an 'update'. I used to use this app all the time and found the high density 'history' with my comments visible incredibly useful. For some inexplicable reason, the developer, like so many others, has taken it upon themselves to completely redesign the app and interface removing and repositioning everything. Sadly, what made this app really useful (I had something like 150 entries in my history) has been removed - USELESS! Very poor UX!

I originally thought this recently installed app was very good. But recently I started getting pop up ads. I scanned my phone using AVG and it reported malware. I have since uninstalled this app and so far no more pop-up ads. I can therefore not recommend it

I've had the app for a few years, but now uninstalling because of the need to watch more videos or pay to go premium. I live in a rural area and need to check our speed regularly due to it being unreliable. I'm not paying for an app like this when apps like Fast, exist for free.

Various tests between a two-day period, literally less than 20 tests but somehow that surpassed more than a gigabyte of data........ Thanks for using a large amount of data just to see how fast my internet is, absolutely not worth my time.

I've used both this app & the free one that the FCC offers. I've found that this app runs better, especially when connected to Wi-Fi guest networks offered by most restaurants and hospital's. I also like the fact that this app also saves my testing history after creating an account. Good job guys.

Does not seem to work well with slow connections. Reveals 9999 ping, 0 mbps. When the test stops its still using data as visible from the app Network Speed. Seems confused and times out prematurely. Speed test from Ooka works properly and shows 0.02 mbps and 200 ms ping.

Very simple but still one of the better speed testers ive tried. No options for setting test servers or data file sizes it just dors what it says on the tin. No ads that ive seen yet and no gimmicks. Has option to auto test by time or every time you enter your home by geofence (not a feature ive seen elsewhere but useful to notify of data outages) I like it.

Not sure why, but immediately after installing, Malwarebytes ANTI-MALWARE shows this "org.speedspot.speedspotspeedtest" as a PUP. So I'm curious as to why, because I've been using their software for a decade or more and they've always been the best I've used when it comes to keeping my devices and PCs safe. Please explain so I can change the rating if necessary. Thanks
