Really great app but not completely an honest one. I paid for the premium version and one of the features it's supposed to have is the ability to sync your books to other devices. There is nothing in the app such as settings, a button, or obvious instructions on how to make this work. That's pretty lame.

Overall, the app is first rate. (I do have a problem with trying to tap on a notes reference number on the page. Unless it is located just right, either the page turns or you bring up the top menu. I read a lot of pre-twentieth century literature that being able to summon up a note is vital.)

Had the free version for years and switched over mainly for the voice feature and still love it! Even with the free version customization is very open, organization is present and it has a highlight and quotes feature. Only recommendations I can think of are custom colours for highlights and custom book covers cause I have plenty of pdfs without covers and they ruin the aesthetic of my app because if their nakedness 😭

Loved the free version of the app and used it for more than a year. Decided that the service was soo exceptional that I decided to get premium as a thank you even though I didn't really need the extra features. The one feature that I did want was the ability to sync across many devices, unfortunately even though an ios app does exist for ipad, the ios app has no option to sync making the sync function uselss for me unless I get an android tablet.

At first, after purchasing this, I thought that the syncing was not working correctly since a bunch of files seemed like they weren't syncing onto the secondary device because it said that there documents without files. Later, I discovered that when I searched for those same books on the Read Era app, they really were there after all. So, if you have a similar issue, that might help. Reaching out to their tech support was very helpful and they were very responsive over email.

Very well made app, definitely worth the premium. The only 2 pieces of feedback or change that I'd like to see is the ability to organize or hide the items in the main library or only show them in collections you've created. The other is the ability to have the app translate texts of other languages. If these two were added, or at least the latter. I wouldn't be remise to spend $20-30 on the premium version. Excellent job devs!

This is a really good app worth every penny. I upgraded for a trip to Japan earlier this year (18hr flight was killer) and have used every detail of the app. Best part is the collections. I use it for fanfic and it helps to find the ships/fic I'm looking for. Tried others but this surpassed them. Had one problem with buttons not working but it was quickly resolved. 10/10

Probably the best tts for an ebook reader. The premium app is definitely what you'd want for making any book into an audio one. The one feature I'd like is the ability to change pronunciation of certain words. Tech just has to catch up to that. Overall great app, I prefer it to all the alternatives including Kindle. It's one of two apps I've ever paid for. Would recommend

I liked the free ReadEra app and used it for years. A few months ago I started doing book reviews and needed to make notes, so I bought the Premium version. It is great. Worth the upgrade! Re: the "spending more time on this app than expected" question - I expected to use it a lot. I am NOT having to spend time figuring it out. It is easy to use. UPDATE:. Months in, I still love it. FURTHER UPDATE: Two years in, it is still Excellent.

If you don't mind a monotone voice, this is a much better option than any AI app, including Speechify. This work well offline, and has multiple customization options. I've tried many (and I do mean a lot) options for text-to-speech apps so that I could indulge my fanfiction addiction while at work, and this is my favorite one.
