2024-11-06 | Rehu Cooper | Great. Lots of classic books to choose from across many genres. I love that I can serialize my own books in to manageable chunks as well. I'm actually reading more using this app. Wholeheartedly recommend and definately worth the premium price.
2024-11-01 | Tam Heck | Edit: I've installed the app on my new phone and it won't let me log in. Help? // After years of not being able to buy things on the Google Store because of restrictions in my country, I finally found a way. The first thing I did was pay for the premium version of this app, just like I always swore to myself I would. I love it that much. Thank you for your all your hard work!
2024-07-20 | Ashmita Chakraborty | I've loved this app for the past few years now and would definitely recommend it to everyone who wants to catch a reading break everyday! Good job, team Serial Reader. Keep it up, and I'm signing up for your premium because you deserve it. 💙
2024-07-05 | Stupidity Gagodity | I've been using this app for years now and I must say it's really good in every way since I'm a fan of classic stories, but lately something has changed, the app won't open unless I turn on my data or wifi, and I can't read properly because after a few minutes of reading like 1-2 minutes, the app will direct me to home screen and my reading will forcefully stop unless I clicked on the app again to continue reading and I'll be so confused and have to checked where I read last, please fix this.
2024-03-03 | Sarah Greene | This app is wonderful! I tried it out for a day or two and then immediately purchased the premium version (very fair price!) to use the "read later" function. I tend to read many books at once, and Serial Reader helps me slow down and think critically about some of them. The badges are fun and encouraging, there's an extensive array of titles to choose from, and the overall design of the app is minimal and sleek. Highly recommend!
2024-02-17 | Apoorva Shridhar | This app works amazingly well. I have read a lot more classic books since getting it than I otherwise would have. The concept of bite-sized deliveries was a bit weird to me at first, but it worked really well for some books. I also ended up getting the premium (which is such a good deal) so I have the option to read ahead if I want to. I like the customization options for fonts and light/dark mode, and sync works well (changed phones a couple of times and didn't lose my progress).
2023-08-13 | Victoria DeWeese | Hands down one of my favorite apps! I just bought the lifetime premium after years of using the app consistently. It is such a fun way to read through the classics. It reminds me of watching old TV shows - you were forced to wait for the next issue/episode to wonder what was going to happen next and to reflect on what you'd just consumed.
2023-04-12 | Arden Hammers | A very handy app if you're someone like me who struggles with starting a book and not finishing it! Bite sized chunks are easy to read on a lunch break, without being so small they lose any meaning. Well worth the couple dollars to upgrade, but a great app even in its free state
2022-07-12 | Yuliya Astapova | Very cool concept, but the app is very buggy: some pages don't load properly and require closing and reopening a few times to work. When I unlock issues in advance, they don't stay unlocked and get hidden again when I'm done reading them. I had high hopes for the "serialize your own ebook feature" but sadly it errored out. Though it is marked as a beta version, so I look forward to when it is completed. I hope it won't be limited to only supporting the English alphabet.
2021-11-23 | Johannah Timbreblue (Timbreblue) | This app is the best!! I've subscribed to three books and each day I get a section of each one, approx. 7-8 minutes of reading. The font is clear and easy to read. The completely optional $2.99 upgrade is very nice -- a good way to thank the developer -- and it gives several nice features including highlighting text, syncing between devices, and skipping ahead if you're eager! The selection of books is excellent, all the classic favorites and some obscure titles I'm excited to read. |
