2024-11-25 | Richard Stec | I will give a review after my free trial is over, and I sign up permanently. I will need final pricing for 3 to 5 devices; and during my seven day free trial, I will be curious to see what Malwarebytes finds on this one of a minimum of at least 3 devices that need maximum protection. So far, there are no issues.
2024-11-24 | Mys Katt | For the past few days I get a scan result notification every few hours. Nothing has been updated and I haven't restarted my phone when it happens. Normally I get one a day, unless there have been updates or my phone has been turned off/restarted. What's going on?!? Also, what happened to the control settings for the scanner? I can't even check to see if it's still set to scan once a day, or set the time. Why would you make those settings so difficult to find?
2024-11-09 | evevoli | I use Malwarebytes religiously on my PC, but this app just sucks man. The whole thing is a thinly-veiled premium advertisement. There's no option to turn off the constant "we're scanning your texts!! you should give us money!!! :)" notifications, so it’s either turn off all notifs and risk not being alerted when something is wrong, or have protection from a shield thats constantly begging for money. I've gone this long without an anti-virus on my phone, I'm just uninstalling it immediately idc
2024-11-03 | Joseph Phair, Jr | "EXCELLENT!" "POOR!" "EXCELLENT!" "POOR!" "EXCELLENT!" "POOR!" Do you find this review annoying? Well, that's how annoying the app is when reviewing the status of things. It's like the app gets offended over the most miniscule of things, then after fixing a thing up or two, then it goes back up to "EXCELLENT!" I love this anti-virus app, but apparently it doesn't love me, for lord-knows-what. It's also very slow when scanning my Samsung S24 Ultra, that needs to be patched up, pronto.
2024-11-01 | C. Mark Johnson | Like the app except for one thing ... even though automatic updates is selected, it requires manual detection updates every time. When you tap on your protection score, if it's not updated, it gives you a protection score of poor. It then has a button to download protection updates, after which, your score goes up to very good or excellent. Why go through all that? Why not have this app effortlessly install all detection updates automatically! We skip the little in-app lecture and be safer too.
2024-10-28 | Larry Williams | For a couple of days, Malwarbytes on my Android was displaying a poor Protection Score. It needed to be updated. However, it wouldn't update automatically or manually. After much time and trying several fixes, it finally updated. If you look online, it's an ongoing problem.
2024-10-27 | D | In the app I'm getting a critical update alert, but when clicking "update database" for the new "detection update," the app does not update and keeps giving my a "poor" score. I've done all the troubleshooting I can find and think of, and I simply can't get the new "detection update" in the app. Note: I'm using a new/updated Android & pay 4 services... I've noticed that the app won't execute most of the security features within it, sometimes, it'll find a text--Bitdefender finds them, tho. Help!
2024-10-26 | Anthony Serna | While Malwarebytes is one of the industry leaders when it comes to security. The biggest downside of this app is its constant reminder that 'hey I'm taking a look at your text to make sure you're safe.' You swiped to get rid of that notification then 5 minutes later it comes up again. Malwarebytes. I know that you're keeping me protected You don't have to keep reminding me via notifications. There should be only notifications when it detects something bad not reminders.
2024-10-20 | Tim Frappier | I've been a customer for Malwarebytes for quite some years. I used them back in 2008, it did what the others couldn't do which was remove this annoying fake antivirus program on my sister's PC. I booted in safe mode, ran Malwarebytes and it removed it. Since around 2017 I decided to pay for premium real time protection. I went with Malwarebytes because of my experience with them. They do not disappoint, not a single virus has gotten past it. it detects, captures, quarantines and protects my PC.☺
2024-10-20 | Samuels “Compromised account” A | Malwarebytes has been my go-to for security on my devices. It consistently keeps threats at bay with no hassle. The scanner is fast, and the identity protection feature is a great new addition. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for reliable cybersecurity protection! Why four stars? because there is always room for improvement!😉 |
